A line has appeared at the very top of my sony tv screen. The line is straight and is rainbow colours. It will appear when the tv is on video 1, 2, 3, or 4. What could have caused this line to appear and how can it be fixed please?
If the picture is ok otherwise then only thing that probably needs to be done is a vertical height adjustment. That is if the lines never changes position from cold to hot.

i have the same exact problem...however the line only shows up when there is very little white in the image...can this be fixed?
also referring to the solution above, how do i adjust the vertical alignment?
The line appears and disappears, but it never changes position or size. I'll check to see if it has anything to do with the ammount of "White" on the screen as described above.
