I have just purchased a eurovox ex5100 pvr. Before i and firmware to the box, i need to download channels to my pc to upload them to my eurovox. Could you tell me how to get them please

http://www.eurovox.co.kr/support/downloads/eurovox-ex5000-pvr-red
I selected the red version but you can select the blue one if this is the case...there is a link that you have to click for the download the up-loader..and I understand the the uploader has the firmware already in it ...it is actually explain on th main page ..you need a RS-232 port via usb ..
and after download the tool ..connect the receiver and power it up ..and run the up-loader.....this will search for the device or you will have to pick it from the list after it scans for it ...something like that anyway ..

Ex 5100 pvr scrambled channel problem

you need the scramble code and/or filter for whatever specific channel you are trying to recieve. there is no legal way to get this except from the subscription line for whatever channel it is you want.

Installing a hard drive on the eurovox ex5000 pvr stops it workin

if the hard drive is new and not formatted , there will be no operating system for the computer to go past the bios start up
what you will have to do is to get into the bios , select boot preference and select cd as first preference
load an operating system( example win 8) and let the unit boot from the disc
after that has properly installed ,shut down the unit , restart and get the bios back up and change boot preference to hard drive
from then on it should start and boot from the program on the hard drive

Code screen

You need to update the firmware. Start by clicking here: Then look in the eurovox folder in eamos library, then look in the eurovox pvr folder. Should help.
