To start with you will need the complete model number for example LN52A630A3FXZA 14 DIGITS AND A VERISON NUMBER WHICH HAS 4 DIGITS.Or better yet the part number could be looked up with the correct serial number which always has 15 digits on a samsung tv. And by the way the part is called a LVDS CABLE THANKS JOHN
Actually
the best overall solution to this problem is usually to order a new controller
assembly (control box) and install it yourself. It's pretty simple.
We have a similar service manual and have uploaded it to our site
here to help you.
Your part numbers may be different, so you can find helpful exploded views by entering your actual full model number at the Sears parts direct Web site here.
At Web site
, they have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.
I had no lights on my control panel, eventhough power was good.
I replaced the control panel ($265 part), it worked for 2 weeks, then I now have the same problem.
Frustrated, I am probably going to buy new from a different manufacturer.
Whirlpool/maytag does not warranty electronic parts if you do it yourself.
Try this first!
The control panel has a flat ribbon cable that plugs into the relay module. The ribbon is actually two ribbons pressed together. The plastic insulation has a defect, and the leads between the two ribbons cross. You can seperate them easily by lifting them apart. Place a piece of paper between them to act as an insulator. This should solve your problem. If that does not work, repalce the defective parts yourself. You can do it for about 30% of what a repair company would charge. it's either got to be 1. A fuse 2. Control panel 3. Relay panel. Good luck!!!
The F7 error code on your oven indicates the touch pad has failed. To repair it you will need to replace the touch pad which is listed as a control panel w/keypad in the parts diagram.
If you do the repair yourself, disconnect the power to the oven. Take the 3 screws out above the door that hold the control panel on to the oven. Pull the control panel out at the bottom and lift it up, then pull out the top and drop it down so you can see the back side of the control panel, and you will see a ribbon connector going from the touchpad to the electronic oven control (ERC).
There is a latch holding the ribbon connector to the ERC, raise the latch to release and pull the ribbon out of the ERC.
Replace the part and reverse these instructions to replace the control panel.
I've seen both the ribbon cable and pin connector version of this, I think they are different part numbers (for the control panel). Can you provide model/part number info?
By the way, we may be able to repair your old one.
Hi, the ERC on this unit is damaged. if you cleaned the ribbons and check the control panel for lose fit or corroded wires and cleaned as well, this should have fixed the issue but, if the control is still malfunctioning after thisthorough inspection of the ribbons and cleansing, this will confirm the major failure and, i recommend replacing the entire ERC(control circuit board.
it is the connector for the ribbon cable on the back of the control panel. I bought a new panel as well and figured out it is the ribon cable connector in the back doesn't hold the ribbon well . I am looking for the part to replace it on line with no luck yet ( the whole board area is 178.00 us dollars so i just want the 5 dollar or so ribbon cable connector to soder in.
