Loud grinding noise when dryer is on aslo blew fuse last night

When switching on my HOTPOINT AQUARIUS CTD40 REVERSEAIR TUMBLE DRYER last night it kept blowing the main fuse in the fuse box. This morning it is making a horrific grinding noise when the drum rotates although it is not blowing a fuse now.

The dryer makes aloud grinding noise every few rotations and sometimes doesn't? Very loud, doesn't have a set amount of rotations before it does it.

I suspect that the rear drun bearing is worn allowing the drum to drop, or the front bearings have gone.
Remove belt and try again if noise still persists then the problem is the motor or fans on the motor. They can wear or come loose.

Hotpoint aquarius tumble dryer, drum not going round but still

If you can hear the motor going, then the belt probably needs replacing, if no motor action, then prob is more serious.

Please rate my solution.

Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 - Grinding Noise From Drum

This sounds like the min bearings have gone, open the door and see if there is any play up and down on the drum. if so its the bearing if not it could be something that has fallen from a pocket and got stuck between the metal clothes drum and the oute drum casing. a take apart job i am afraid for both issues.
