Sanyo VPC T700 broken lcd

My 1 year old Sanyo digital camera has a broken lcd screen. the outer glass is fine but inside the screen has gone white and there is a black cracking effect. My apple mac wont see the memory card either. Is it a total loss or can it be repaired for a reasonable price? Thanks.

My sanyo vpc-t700 Camera has the same problem, It broke at about 6 months.

Hello Karen,

Please look for lock in memory card as in the above image. If the white latch is in downside position then slide it in up position. Also check that you are inserting the memory card in right position in the camera.

Viewer screen is white, i can record and playback but the screen is white, its an xacti waterproof 6mg model

hi Usually white screen problem is defective lcd unit. your local repair shop would charge $45 to 75 depend on what they want to charge. Thanks and best regard!

Black lcd screen

I could not find an online manual, but most cameras have an option to shut off the LCD screen when taking pictures. Check this in your manual, there's a great chance this is the problem. If not, you have to seek professional help
