If it is like the picture you posted it is a refractor style telescope on an Alt Az mount. Very simple to use -- left and right--- up and down.

However you also need a star chart to find things in the sky-- download one for free at: http://www.skymaps.com

Also try to find a local Astronomy club and attend some of their meetings and star parties. Your first sky object should be the moon -- the next time it is up at night.

Jupiter and Venus are also up right now.... check the star chart above.

Purchase a 263/525 Reflector Telescope put it together, took off the eyepiece lens caps, but still unable to see anything. Does the end filter of telescope need to be removed?

The picture in your post is NOT a reflector style telescope:

This is a reflector:
http://www.company7.com/orion/telescopes/orion06f8dobi.html

Notice that the eyepiece is in the FRONT side of the scope. Take the front lens cap off-- the primary mirror is on the BOTTOM of the tube.

Vivitar 76mm reflector teles.76700 barlow lens 3x eyepiece is to small for it.is there a reducer for the barlow ?kit came with two 3x barlow.same size

No the barlow increases the magnification by 3 TIMES for any eyepiece --
this will be too much for that small 76mm telescope.

Magnification is the least important quality of a telescope. Aperture and quality ioptics are much more important. I usually never use a barlow -- just the straight eyepieces in various mm sizes.

I bought an old Tasco 11TR reflector telescope at a used store, but it does NOT have any eyepieces nor manual. What should I buy to at least make this 'scope useable for moonwatching?

Eyepieces are available from many on-line retailers -- measure the hole in the focuser. Eyepieces come in 3 sizes, .965, 1.25, and 2 inch.

The .965 is very hard to find. Here are two retailers

All of Tasco's manuals are on this web site:

Manual or Instructions to fix Telescope

Here is the manual.

This is a reflector style telescope the focuser is on the FRONT of the telescope, the mirror is the BOTTOM of the telescope. All astronomical telescope show upside down images. It's normal.

Please can you tell me where I can find manual for instalation of vivitar 114x900 telescope

This is a REFLECTOR style telescope. Meade has a very similar scope and their manual should work for your telescope.

Go to the web site below and look under the REFLECTOR heading for a manual similar to your telescope. They all assemble and are used the same way.

Read all of the TIPS on my profile page for additional instructions.

Reflector telescope 525 power bought at a yard sale with no instructions. Is there a manual or any information on how to use this product? I'm not even sure all the pieces are here.

You will not find a manual for that telescope. However Meade maintains a web site for their telescope manuals. Look under REFRACTOR or REFLECTOR for one similar to your telescope. They all go together in a similar fashion.

To the second guy posting the same problem-- you went and bought a cheap department store telescope--- what do you expect for $89-- ???

If you would have spent just a little bit more you could have had one of these--

Don't buy telescopes at Wal Mart or Sears!
