Tv will not power up

Had this exact problem! C514 has burned to a crisp. Replaced it with a simular looking one(no idea of value)and now its perfect!Toooo easy. Got it on Craigslist for free from Paul. If the lamp led is blinking the lamp has went out and the set needs to be serviced. Or you may be able to install the lamp your self. Call 1-800-575-9833 to see if they have the part.

SOURCE: No Picture, Power light Blinking 3 times then repeats

3 times blink shows lamp cover is removed or not installed properly on TV.
Please take out lamp inside TV and check, seems its broken as you heard loud pop.

Lamp inside TV is broken and requires replacement. Pop sound was its breaking sound.
Lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual, pretty easy.
Please buy Sony original lamp for TV safety and avoid aftermarket/ cheap lamp.

SOURCE: I have a KDF 42WE655..while watching tv, I heard a popping sound.

If the lamp is blowing that soon, the cooling fan is not working, or is plugged with dust. I have heard some people have a filter that needs changing or cleaning. Check your manual. The cooling fan is on the optical block and not easy to get to.
Probably a job for a tech.
