SOURCE: Rascal mobility scooter will now only go backwards

On some scooters it is possible to change the polarity of the motor. If its a two brush motor (most are) you can just swap the red and black wires around in the connector plug for the motor. Make sure you get the right wires if you do this but I have to point out that there is obviously a problem with the scooter and I would strongly advise you to get it looked at by your local dealer as the problem is potentially serious and may cause other problems aswell. I cant really understand why it would only go backwards. May be a throttle pot problem or main controller fault. Either way, as I said, best get it looked at as even if you do swap the wires, it is most likely that the scooter will only travel forward at the usual speed for reverse, normally 2mph! Hope this helps...

SOURCE: electric mobility scooter says charge is full but won't run

This sounds she has tripped her circuit breaker. It works just like the one on your house, when you ask too much of it it suddenly goes 'pop' and seems to be dead.

Looks like you have the same scooter as mine, it should be a little white button on the back of the base. If you follow this link, it will give you a pdf version of the older model pride victory manual, (Mine is a three, they are up to about 10!) See fig. 8 on page 20 and 'Circuit Breaker' on page 21. Also, Page 33 has the troubleshooting info. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: InvaMed Sovereign Mobility Scooter Model S888NR

Hi. Its easy to identify the pins out. Put the probes into the socket on the scooter to read the polarity. the two terminals on opposite sides will be the positive and negative battery supply. The pin to one side is to disable the scooter when the charger is connected. This terminal is normally connected to negative when the charger socket is in place.
Most faults like this are caused by a broken wire in the charger plug orv by a faulty connection in the scooter. Sometimes the charger socket is faulty, check for heat damage or melted plastic.
Check the battery connectors. Good luck. Neil.

SOURCE: wiring diagram for sc234ala mobility scooter

Hi. Do you need a basic wiring diagramme for the lights, motors etc. or do you need one for the controller? What faults do you have?
Fisher and Paykel sold their mobility scooter business to Plega Healthcare in Australia. Plega now no longer suport the mobility scooters.
We have some parts left in stock, and were an authorised service agent for these machines.
No one was ever supplied with a circuit diagramme for the controllers.
We do have all the service manuals here and have a full set of the fault codes.
You can email us at [email protected]
Good luck. Neil.
