Dear Sir,
In my above laptop, ONLY on certain websites like Yahoo Mail etc. and that too AT RANDOM ( sometimes yet sometimes not) whenever I type, the cursor, instead of it going to the right of the letter, goes to it's left. Also, sometimes, while writing a word, the next letter, randomly goes to some previously typed word. Kindly help..I am in a fix.
Best regards;
Sir Chandan Ghosh

Hi everyone,
We encountered the same problem with my new 1 week old laptop. We fixed the jumping by taking the scroll off its because the touch screen is too sensitive. We bought a wireless mouse and disabled the scroll on the touch screen and no more cutting out or skipping .

I found a solution that seems to work- go to the "touchpad" icon on the bottom right. Then choose "tapping" and then check the box "tap off when typing." Don't know why but this seems to work!

I went into control panel, mouse settings and there was an option to "disable touchpad while typing"... that seems to be working fine so far.

This is a really common problem thats not actually a problem.
Go to trackpad settings and make sure tap to click is off.
Most laptops allow you to tap the track pad to act as a mouse button, try it go to an icon tap the trackpad youll see that the icon highlights as if you are actually left clicking.
When your typing the trackpad senses your arm or wrist occasionaly and thinks your tapping the mouse, thus moving the cursor.
So go into trackpad settings and turn off tap to click.

I have been having the same problem for some time now with my Acer laptop and windows vista.
What worked for me was changing a Mouse setting in the Control Panel.
Go to Control Panel -> Mouse. Then go to the "Tapping" tab and make sure that the "Tap off when typing" box is Checked
