The draw slides out okay sometimes sticks, it reads musis and plays music . it also plays movies but not the xbox games. no noises no other issues. what to do.

It was a faulty powersupply that caused this problem faulty used error codes from llamma.com as posted by CTF1800. Futhermore I am using a modified PC PSU - cut the cables from the old Xbox PSU and soldered them onto the PC PSU and I did not need to strip the Xbox. Power Pinouts available on LLama.com

this is a problem the microsoft has been working on ... remove any disc from the tray> unplug it from all power the plug it back in> open the disc tray .. leave it open for a little while like 10-15 seconds .. then put the game in and it should work .. if it does not however you have one of the defected disc trays and you'll need to get it repaired by microsoft .. i know its not what you want to hear but hey at least they will fix it free of charge =]

If your Xbox 360 will not play your games this is because of the sensors on the back of the drive overheating it is not normally the laser.
