Transfer error - Disagreement between player and software

I'm getting the following error trying to put new songs on my (~2 year old) Rio Nitrus: Failed to transfer [song title]. The application and the player disagree over player state - Please disconnect and reconnect. I've tried disconnect/reconnect, restart software, pushing reset button on Nitrus, reflashing firmware (already at version 1.23). It will delete songs but not add! Rio software will read and display all songs on the Nitrus. Any ideas (other than buying an iPod)?

I had the same issue and I eventually re-formatted the player. Once I had finished that, it seemed to work again, letting me add songs.

How can i transfer songs from my old ipod to my new ipod touch 4th generation?

Hi,

You can transfer the songs from the old iPod to the new iPod using the iTunes Software installed in the Computer. It is required to connect the old iPod to the Computer and sync the songs to the iTunes Software. Select the Sync iPod option from the File Menu. Once you sync the songs from the old iPod you can connect the new iPod and Sync again to transfer the songs from the iTunes.

Please feel free to get back to us for further assistance.

Thanks for using FixYa.

My songs go to files and I got locked out.

This player was manufactured in the pre-DRM era. As soon as you plug it into the computer now, all of the songs are now read as files that should be copy-protected, but do not have the new DRM encryption on them. All of your precious songs will have to be re-downloaded - annoying, I know. It happened to me also.

Can not copy files from Rio Karma to PC

Files can be copied to the computer from the karma although it doesn't work all that well.
You'll need to use Rio Taxi. I think you can get that if you connect the karma to your network using the dock then browse to the karma's ip address and get it. If not you may have to try and find a place to download it.
