Samsung TXE1370 13" TV - volume out of control

My 2 year old unplugged/plugged our TV in to power quickly in a matter of a few seconds. Since then, our volume works, but its not totally under our control. Volume used to be standard electronic control with a visual scroll bar showing its level. NOW, the scroll bar is permanenty at MAX. In addition, the volume has 4 settings nothing/quiet but audible/loud/extremely lout when we enter each volume, the visual scroll bar on the screen remains at max always. the volume only responds to the down volume keys (either on remote or on the TV directly). When using the up volume, the TV is receiving the signal (we see infrared feedback (red LED) blinking. I don't see any 'reset' key or button on the TV, either physically, or on menu system. anybody have any trade secrets to fix this?

No Luck, but thanks for the try. It, at least, gave me a few moments of hope. Let me review what i did. I strictly used the remote. while power was ON, I clicked 'power'. result was that the power was OFF. Then MUTE 1 8 7.
I turned power ON. No special display there. So, I went into MENU. the standard 3 items came up. No 4th 'reset' item.

I went through each menu item, and again, nothing special about 'reset' in any sub menu

FYI, your advice gave me more info to search on. I found someone with problems that needed a reset. The advice he was given was mute 1 8 2, (not 187). So it looks like you were just off a digit. Anyhow, using mute182, i got into the reset menu, did the deed, and the volume is now working properly. Thx

How do you reset the max volume? It's set at 63 for high but not loud enough to hear?

JVC 32 LED TV model LT-23C661(A) red light is flashing tv will not come on I have tried the "hold down menu and volume buttons method" but not working TV is only 20 months old

start by trying to reset your TV. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet, then press and hold the power button on the TV (not the remote), for at least 10 seconds. Then wait a few minutes and plug the TV back in and press power once. 2 blinks on Samsung TV's usually indicates a bad power supply.Sep 21, 2017

My JVC LT-42X579 42 in. LCD TV is only 13 MONTHS old and it suddenly won't turn on anymore. The blue power light comes on -as usual- but after 3 seconds, it will start blinking and it will remain that way...

I contact JVC and was told to first make sure your cable box or whatever you use to normally watch TV is powered on and is ready to work
He told me to unplug TV for 10 seconds at least. Then he had me press and hold down the "MENU and VOLUME DOWN (-)" buttons, at the same time for about 10 seconds. Then after 10 seconds of holding the 2 buttons down, he had me continue to hold the 2 buttons and press and let go of the power button. In other words after 10 seconds of holding down the volume down (-) and menu buttons, add the third button (power) and immediately let go of all 3 buttons, at the same time.
It worked for me instantlynd hopefully it works for you!!!

Samsung TV Won't Turn Off

if this set has a power relay the contacts in the relay are welded closed; unplug set for 10 seconds and plug back in; it will probably come streight on if relay is stuck. replacing relay will fix if this is the case

Volume on Remote powers TV on and off?

This unit has upgrades available for this set. I am not at my shop now, but, I think the problem you described is usually cured by this upgrade. The set is under warranty, contact: 1-800-Samsung for a local servicer. If you need additional help, respond to this post and I'll reply.

Possessed remote and tv

How old is this set? some of the late 90's early 2ks had issues with the Gemstar module, then you also said that you unplugged the buttons, if unplugging the buttons fixed your problem, you probably have contamination in the buttons and they are $2 switches, I would replace all 8 (if you have 8) as I do in some of the CTC169 Chassis televisions, depends upon your level of expertise and such. This set has the Guide+ system and I think that you might have a Gemstar issue still, it is a little 2" square box that has 2 ribbon cables that plug into it, and is fairly easily replaceable.
