Whenever you try to take a picture, you have to first press half the shutter. Then you should wait for the green signal which tells you it is focused. But in my case, a red signal shows up. And the camera says it is not focused, try again. After trying for a long time it may give you one green signal which will allow you to take a good picture.

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries, place them back in the camera and give them a good charge (assuming that you're using rechargeable batteries). This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

SOURCE: When I press the shutter button nothing happens.

look with a lens that to insert the cards, you dont have torque one of the little contact into the camera. and this contact dont touch with the other near contact. f touch one with the other keep out the batterie and with patience and litle force, with a needle, torque the contact to the right position. if you dont find this, i have fear that is a foul contact from the ccd eletronic flat, and this is a problem. that is possible if the camera is drop, have suffered a pressure. in this case if you dont have specifics knowledge, you cant repair the camera. why the camera must be opened, prove if the flats are did not move. and if this is not enough, its probably that you must change the optic. if you see the immage in the lcd but not pics, probably you can change only the optic without ccd.

I push the button but it wont take a picture

Did you try it like it is said in the manual? press the button half till the camera is focused and then press the button completely down?
Don't expect the camera to shoot with the same speed as a camera with film did. Give it some time to focus and everything will be fine (I hope)
If not let me know.

How do you charge a sanyo VPC-T1495?

My wife got this for Christmas. The battery was installed from the manufacturer backwards. After looking inside I noticed 3 pins that matched the connections on the battery. Flipped the battery around and viola. I'd bet other people are having the same issue.

Canon G9 digital camera

There are two stages to the shutter release. The first stage is the focus stage pressed half way down and the second stage is the actual shutter release. Always press the shutter half way to get the camera focused first then press all the way down when the camera is ready to take the shot. Check to see how the settings are with regard to how it focuses (9-point, face recognition, etc). When the camera focuses you should get a green box or multiple green boxes depending on your settings. That tells you the camera is ready to take the picture. Pressing the shutter all the way down at once from the beginning will cause the pause you describe since the camera has to first focus then shoot the picture. Depending on the subject or subjects the camera may take a second or two longer to focus. With good lighting my G9 focuses pretty fast. Hope this helped.
