I have a 47 inch panasonic rear projection crt big screen, it is hooked ot dish network satt. it has no picture or sound...The dish guide comes up and video games work fine...

You problem is with your dish box. unplug the power cable and wait 2 minutes. plug back in an hopefully resetting will have solved. if not, contact dish for a new box

If you have cable TV, this may be the box. You can give them a call to see if they will come take a look at it.
You did not mention if you have any other devices hooked to it like a DVD or VCR. Do you get a picture there????

Replace Both of your STK ICs they are big black ICs will have Part number on them Call Mats Electronics for Parts 1-800-628-1118 STKs are your convergence ICs
The green CRT may be intermittently bad or the focus screen block. Certain sony's are common to have bad CRT's. When the screen goes green does the set shut off?
sounds like the blue convergence or the Blue CRT needs a coolant change. If the picture apaers 3d its the Convergence. If the color seem abnormal or not true tones its the CRT coolant
