Need ringer turned back on .. radio shack 5.8GHz

Look on the phone and the base. Most phones have a small almost hidden switch to turn off the ringer. It is usually a tiny slide switch on the side or back of the handset but I have seen them on the base also.

If this is a Panasonic phone connected to a phone system as in an office setting, sounds like the ringer has been turned off. Get someone to call your phone and while they are calling turn the jog dial to turn the ringer back on or use the LCD intertactive keys to turn the ringer back on.

try an external phone ringer. some have flashing light, extra loud ringer, vibrating option

Hi, when a phone has a ringer volume problem, is either the ringer of the phone is weak and you can't hear when someone calls you or the volume of the ringer is yet at a very low level in sound.

You will need to check the volume settings of the phone if the volume is low so you can increase it to a high level.

If the setting of the volume is high, that means the ringer that a makes you hear when people call is weak and will need to be replaced.

On the Presidian DECT 6.0, there is a screen near the top, with a ring centered beneath. If you press on the top or bottom of the ring, you will make the phone ringer louder or quieter. On most of the phones you just keep pushing the volume down button untill it turns off. On some models there is a "Do not disturb" feature, usually it is a soft key feature so look on the LCD screen. Also, for the person that can't turn the ringer back on, just push the volume up key untill the ringer is at the level you like.

Well, I still don't really know what the problem was. After checking the user guide, and looking all over the internet and finding nothing, I decided to check the battery. All I did was take it out...put it back in and turn the phone on again. There ya go...sound again...go figure...

Press the volume up key labellled as VOL/RING in standby mode to select one of five ringer tone and volume combinations...or Ringer Off.
