Working on the same problem. My neighbor and I have the same model of Samsung DLP TV. After 3 years, his begin to turn off after a short period of use. He replaced the lamp, but the problem continued. He took it to a repar shop and they said circuit board, yada yada yada, 800 bucks. He bought a new TV for a grand. I have his old TV in my garage for parts, and low and behold, out in the garage where it is cooler and the TV is not in a cabinet, it works just fine. I think the problem is one of overheating. My suggestion is to move the TV to a place where is has plenty of air circulation and see what happens.

Green timer light won't stop blinking

Hi,the most common failure besides the lamp it's the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. Most of the time that board was used to providing a lesser voltage to the old lamp so when you get a new one it uses more voltage(ballast has to provide 15 kv to power the lamp). The price of the ballast is less than the price of the lamp and it's something you can do yourself .This video is for a samsung but it will you an idea on how to replace it http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php Have a bless one!

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. Here's the instructions to replace it :http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php But if you don't hear any strange noises,tv is around 6000 hrs,2-4 yrs it could be time to replace the lamp.Have a bless one!

I own a Samsung HL-R5067W 50'' DLP. Set is about 3 years old. Recently I heard a loud pop while viewing, picture distorted, but never went blank. I turned set off. When turned on again a loud whining noise...

Check your color wheel. There is a DIY guide for replacing the color wheel. Mine did the same thing yours is and my color wheel was all busted up. Unfortunately after replacing the color wheel my set continues to do the same thing, but this could mean I need to replace the ballast as well.

Sound but no picture - won't stay on

you may check your lamp first. other than that i would say a faulty mains board.

My wd52327 turns on and than turns itself off

Thats a very common problem which means that the capacitors on the power PWB have most likely failed. You can get the repair kit which has the replacement Capacitors and step by step instructions with detailed pictures on how to do the repair . Heres a link to the repair kit for your model.
