Door won't unlock after self cleaning. Code F1 appeared after cleaning was done. The fan continues to run even after oven is cool and door won't unlock

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
Error code F1 is displayed due to electronic oven control failure and the only way to solve this problem is by replacing the control board which is bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

After self-cleaning, door won't unlock

This is a common problem when people use that feature, it often "Blows" the Thermistor, which is indeed what F1 means it must be replaced, sometimes a restart, off/and ON again at the unit and cycle the breaker.

Bosch dishwasher timer freezing

There is a recall on the control board of many of these models, butyour problem is likely not related. It sounds like a plugged drain system or a possible bad drain pump. That's why you are hearing the pump running constantly. I have written a guide to help. It is here. Thanks!

Need error messages defined SD and F1

the "sd" is a code for a suds lock. if you have the wrong soap, needs to be the HE type, or too much soap it will suds inside and cause this failure, choose the rinse and spin cycle to remove any soap suds.
the f1 code is an internal failure in the computer and may need to be reset by just unplugging the unit for a few minutes and the trying it again.
i hope you can just clear the suds and it will be ok, if not then the main control board will need to be replaced.
if your unit is not too old then call whirlpool and see if they will help you with the cost of replacing the board.

When trying to pre-heat my oven, It won't until serveral attempts later (maybe 10 ). Then, after baking and stopping the oven, I get an F1 error! What's going on?

Hi,

F1 is listed as "Element Relay circuit Failure".

There will be a current switching relay to the oven - which is faulty - hence why you get the error when it realises it's not working.

This should be replaced to solve future problems.

For your reference, the fault codes are -
F0 Touch pad stuck in depressed position
F1 Element relay circuit failure
F2 Oven temp exceeded the clean runaway temp (self clean) -or- runaway temp (cooking modes)
F3 Short circu!t in oven temp sensor
F4 Open circuit in oven temp sensor
F5 - N/A
F6 Failure in the EEPROM check comparison (only time of day and timer will operate)
F7 Failure of Sef-C1ean auto door latch circuit.
F8 Failure of the door latch motor. Occurs when the motor runs for two minutes without the door locking Self-Clean mode.

If this resolves the issue, Please rate accordingly. Thank you.

F1 shows on display and beeps constantly.

The F1 error code relates to a defective touch pad or clock (ERC). It seems that the reason for it in your case is some liquid entered the unit during its cleaning. Unplug the power cable and wait for few hours, In case it will not help, apart the ERC unit and and dry the touch pad and the clock. Good luck!
