Panasonic PV-M2021A TV/Video Can't program channels

On older tv's I can get many channels above 20. Plug new tv this into the same cable and it only finds channels up to 18. I push the channel search button and it goes through ch.2 to 69 but it can't find anything above 20. The input button toggles between line and tuner and neither makes a difference. I don't know what the channel 100 button does.

Actually George, You should read the supplied Operations manual. In that you will find a chapter for using the Remote as a Universal remote, and a list of codes will be give. Check out the code for Misubishi TVs and feed that.

SOURCE: Unable to record one tv channel while watching another tv channel

You CAN record one channel and watch another with satellite service, but it would require two separate DBS receivers. The issue is that all satellite broadcasting is encrypted until it hits the receiver, which decodes it and transmits it outward toward your other AV devices. If it weren't for the receiver, connecting the coax cable to your other devices and trying to tune channels with them would yield no signal and possibly much frustration. You would need to split the signal into each receiver and have one connected to the television via one input and the other to the recorder then to the TV via another input.

With cable, you can split the signal without having to have two boxes - this way the QAM tuner in the cable box is still capable of tuning channels while the recorder can tuner basic cable channels for recording separately. You can also have the cable box connected to the recorder via composite so that you can record premium stations on a DVD recorder input mode anytime you like - but you would have to be watching that channel at the same time unless the DVD recorder had a pass-through RF signal (rather than a composite clone) - meaning you could also use coaxial to your television from the recorder and tune channels separately on your television while the recorder is recording one channel.

A lot of what-ifs there, but it is all quite possible.

SOURCE: Can't change our Panasonic TV channel to watch DVD input

Buy a 21 way scart. This will have an 'AV' enable connection built in. After fitting, turn on the TV, then turn on the DVD player. It will automatically enable the DVD through the scart socket.

I found a newer Comcast PDF file that shows a 5 digit number for tv with vcr ( no mention of DVD) but the code worked to turn on the tv and cable box together. My problem is it won't work the volume, yet

SOURCE: Panasonic DMR-E85 DVD recorder TV Guide problem

Try unplugging the DMR-E85 power cord. It is important that you unplug it from the back of the recorder, not the wall. Leave it unplugged for 10 or 15 minutes. For good measure disconnect the cable 'in' connection as well. Once both lines are plugged back in it will go through its self-check diagnostics. Leave it alone for awhile (give it time to consider the error of it's ways). If you are lucky, when you turn it back on it will ask you to verify the channel lineup. If this does work, and all the channel info is correct, press 'enter' (lineup 1 highlighted). Good luck! This is an awesome machine, WHEN IT WORKS!

How long does a TV have to be unpluged before it clears the programed channels?

There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

I have a Panasonic TV/VCR combo my kids deleted all the channels out of it, and we don't have the remote. Tried getting codes from the cable company but didn't work. Model # PV-C1321A Model # 120V AC60Hz...

A universal remote can be programmed for your tv/vcr. Then you can access the menu to auto program your tv. Otherwise there should be a button on the front that allows you to access the menu and then auto program the unit.

Panasonic PV-C1352W cable signal

They claim that if you leave the set unplug from the wall for about 10 minutes and then plug it back in and ushing the power button the set will auto program all the channels available,Without the remote is possible but not as easy,in the front of the set you have the stop/eject button and the REW button,if you press both buttons at the same time a MENU(display) should come up on the screen, keep pressing action until the CH square is highlighted then use the arrows up or down until antenna is selected the use the arrows left or right to change it to Cable, once is in the cable mode go down one more to auto set and press the arrow to the right and it should auto program all the available channels. I hope I made sense but just in case here is the link to the owners manual http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vProdSupportResults?storeId=15001 ,it can be done. You can use my name in a new question to let me know how it goes ir if you need more information.
