Water Tank Leak

My Saeco Vienna Superautomatica is leaking from around the water tank. I have taken out the gasket and oiled it, but it still leaks. Do I need to replace the tank and gasket?

Saeco Vienna superautomatica leaks when making coffee

This is an easy fix for a 14$. The seal at the water tank connection is worn. Take the water tank off. There is a round flat topped plastic retainer. Pry off the retainer (comes off easily). You will see a black round o-ring made to fit on a channel. Remove the o-ring and replace. Two minutes and you are without water leaks. I do not remove the tank to fill anymore, I use a pitcher instead. Part number 3 in this diagram.

On my saeco vienna machine i hear the pump working but no water is coming through

Any water leaks following the pumping sound ?

If there is no leaks, I would try to get some hot water from the wand.

If there is still no water coming out, I would:

1-Decalcify thoroughly

2-Open the machine and take the inside out and verify the status of the water pipes going from the water tank to the boiler than to the wand and the brew unit ... to make sure there is no restriction.

3-Replace water pump

Saeco vienna leaking water from bottom of machine

The o-rings of the water tube coming out of the boiler need to be changed. Rubber O-ring tend to expand after extended exposure to heat.

Saeco Vienna coffee when the machine starts the coffee dispensing

Is it leaking only when brewing coffee ?

If not I would check the seal under the water tank (Part #NM05.006)

If so, I would check the following:

1- The water input port on the back of the brew unit (looks like a smoke pipe) might be clogged

2- The o-ring of the water tubes coming in and out of the boiler.

My Saeco Vienna Superautomatica leaks

Check the little chamber under the white plastic valve behind the brew unit, that might be blocked with coffee.

Resover leaking

The easy fix for leaking under the machine is check to see if the drain is clogged. Open the front and remove the brew unit. You will see a small hole that will drain the excess into the Plastic tray. Usualy I find Coffee grounds clogging the drain hole. Use Pipe Cleaner , Q-Tip to clear the drain hole. you can also wipe out from the other side with paper towel or Q-tips. once the clog is clear. Flush our with water.

Water leaking at the back of the machine.

It may be your boiler leaking and not the tank. If you can open the case, check your boiler for white chalk like build up around the seams. That would confirm you leak is from the boiler.

Saeco Vienna Coffee Machine water leak

I have had the same problem with my Saeco Digital & Saeco Superautomica machines. After much work and somewhat expense I have finally found a simple fix. All you need to do is replace the gasket which is located just under the water reservoir.
(1) Take the water reservoir off
(2) Pop the round plastic piece located in the middle off (don't worry you won't break it as is it pretty tough)
(3) Take the black rubber gasket out and either:
(a) cover the present gasket with the brew group lube or
(b) replace the gasket with a new one.
which will give it a air tight fit and prevent any further water leakage from the reservoir.

You can get a new gasket for $5!!! :) I got mine at: http://cerinicoffee.com/item.asp?cID=0&PID=90

I also put some Brew Group lube ( http://cerinicoffee.com/Lube_brew_group_saeco.asp ) around the gasket as a temp fix until I completely replaced to gasket. Apparently, what happens is that the original gasket gets old, dry rots or whatever allowing the water to leak out of the reservoir. And then all over your work surface. The Saeco machines are quite intricate but are
Hope this helps.

Water leak

Hi,

You have to replace the gasket where the water tank goes in to the machine.
