The black plastic bracket holding the motor behind the active vent door has broken, and the metal vent door brackets have come loose. The motor can no longer drive the door open or closed. Can I replace that bracket myself (part ordered)?

check the conductivity of the plastic with an ohmmeter by placing the probes an inch apart on the plastic surface. If the resistance is large or infinity, the plastic probably performs no role in stopping the microwave radiation. If so, any epoxy probably can be used to close the hole safely. Make sure you don't use too much and if possible place tape over the repair and orient the microwave so the epoxy presses against the tape while drying to prevent it from oozing into any door hinge/close mechanism. Otherwise, a piece of microwave door glass from a broken unit can ge glued over the hole and should stop the radiation. You can check for leakage with test units but be very carefuly anyway.

The magnatron is shorting, overloading the high voltage transformer. From the picture this looks like an older unit and is probably not worth a magnatron replacement.

Sorry, but the subject lines get cut off after so many characters.
Thanks for replying.
Part # DE63-00204A looks like a valid Samsung part number but it doesn't show up anywhere, so it's likely a proprietary part made only for GE and not available separately.
You can see a helpful exploded view of this model here.
Then you can go here and enter your model number and come up with the parts list. This site has much better prices than GE.
Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.
Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.
Chances are you will end up having to but more than you want to, but not the whole door.

Be sure the oven is unplugged.
There are two Phillips head screws on the very top of the outside of the cabinet above the vent.
When they're removed the vent grille just snaps out.

SOURCE: Repalce Door handle on GE Profile model number SCA1000DBB03
There're some half a dozen or so small screws securing that frame to the door face. These screws must be removed. Then, the frame can be pried out by releasing the plastic snappers (with a flat screwdriver) while in the same time gently helping the frame to detach from these snappers' hold and the door face. It's a tidious, somewhat annoying task. The snappers may and will even likely break in the process, but aren't needed for the frame to be resecured to the door face after the handle is replaced. Note that the broken ends of the handle must be held with a pair of pliers or a flat screwdriver needs to be inserted bewteen each of them and the hole, or the ends will turn with the screws. This is because the metal screws' grip of the plastic handle broken ends is very strong and otherwise won't get separated.Once the above is accomplished, reassembling the door is a brease.
P.S.: The dual end latch may interfere somewhat with the job and can be removed for the process to be undertaken without it disturbing. It's easy to remove and replace that latch, including its spring.
