Well you mentioned that it worked fine yesterday with the battery out of the box. That should tell you that the camera and the battery are both fine. The issue is likely the charger itself. Try recharging it again, and double check that you inserted the batteries correctly, and that any switches (such as for 2 or 4 battery charge) are set in the correct position on the charger. If this doesn't work, take the charger back to the store for exchange/refund as defective.
First you need to check the charger . If charger is working fine , then check the power cord . If the power cord is working fine , then the problem is that the battery is dead [ can't be recharged anymore ] . You need to replace the battery in a such situation . If it's none of that , then I recommend you to replace it , if you still have the guarantee . Or just take it to the service .
I have same problem as edmoze mentions above - batteries went dead. I first tried to use regular Duracell AA and it would still not come on. Went to internet & it recommended getting the Duracell rechargeable NiMh which I did. Got the charger & last nite they charged overnight. Today the camera did come on & I was able to download what I had taken. But what concerns me is that the low battery light is still flashing after a night of charging. What's up? Should I expect this kind of battery problem to continue? Seriously considering getting a Nikon Coolpix.
I had the same problem. I had a 1 year warranty, so I called 1800-435-7732 and they sent me a new battery within 5 days. I just received it today and it works perfectly. Hope this helps you! =]
Yes, there is definitely a fault with your camera.
You should be able to return it for a replacement.
I wouldn't experiment too much with batteries in this camera. batteries discharging this quickly are likely to overheat, causing unmentionable catastrophe.
My phone had the same problem and it was a battery charge problem. I bought an external charger and another battery and now everything works fine but I have two batteries and an external charger, the phone doesn't charge the batties.
jpierre's solution (in another thread) was right on the money. Touch
the positive (+)end of the 9v battery to the positive (+) end of the
camera battery.Leave them touching for a few seconds (10 seconds should
be more thansufficient). Seems these lithium-ion batteries are subject
to a'digital memory.' Subjecting it to a volt surge almost three
timeshigher seems to clear it.
You simply need a new battery. Razr batteries are notorious for loosing life and the entire problem is the chargers you are using. You MUST have one with an IC chip that tells it when to stop charging otherwise watch how long you are charging it. Also when you have a new battery let it fully charge and fully die twice before you start normal charging this helps a lot.
