Error 105 is one of the most commonly faced errors by a lot of users everyday who are using Google chrome Error 105 is a DNS resolution error. - Which means when you enter the URL of the website and hit enter in Google chrome, it tries to resolve the IP address of the website using a protocol called DNS (Domain Name System). If chrome is unable to reach the DNS server, the name resolution fails and you get the error 105.
Solution: Once you have verified from your internet service provider that there is no problem on their end, follow the step by step instructions below. We are simply going to add a manual DNS address in Windows so that chrome is able to resolve DNS queries. 1) Press [Windows Key + R] to open the "RUN Dialog" Alternatively, you can also click on the start menu, type run in the search bar, and you will have the RUN Program. Once you have the RUN box, type in ncpa.cpl and click OK - This would work for all Windows operating systems including Windows Xp, Vista and 7. 2) Next, Choose the correct network adapter (from the icons) If you are connecting to the internet using an Ethernet cable, then most likely you are using a desktop computer. Right-Click "Local Area Connection" and click "Properties"
If you are connecting to the internet using a Wi-Fi Connection, then Right-Click on "Wireless Network Connection" and click properties 3) After you open the properties window, select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click "Properties" 4) Usually you would be having both the options set to "Automatic" In the section below, select the "Use the following DNS Server Addresses" and enter the following values Preferred DNS Server - 8.8.4.4 Alternate DNS Server - 8.8.8.8 and click "OK", then click "CLOSE"
You must now test your new configuration by browsing a website - you can also try and browse the website you were trying to get to when you got the error 105.

Error 105 indicates that Chrome can't find a DNS server.
Without a DNS server, a browser can't find a web page using a domain name (such as google.com) and therefore cannot surf the web.
If you have another browser, such as Edge, Internet Explorer, or Firefox and they cannot reach google.com either, then you are either not connected to a network with internet access or your browser has been hijacked.
If you are on a windows computer, use Windows+R or click in the Run box on your start menu and type cmd to pull up a command window. type >ping google.com and hit enter... if it pings the address successfully, then you have DNS and your browser has been clobbered.
Otherwise try connecting to another network, contact your network administrator, or examine your TCP/IP settings for your current network adapter and set your Preferred DNS server to 8.8.8.8 (google's DNS server) and the Alternate DNS to 4.4.4.4 (also google). This should give you access to the whole internet via domain names.
It is a problem due to DNS server ip address. If you configured ip address in mobile manually to connect wifi check the DNS address. If you have connected to wifi automatically means there is a problem of DNS ip in the wifi router configuration.Google has public dns of 8.8.8.8 if possible configure in Mobile and try it
Changing the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. on BOTH the
modem/router AND on each pc on my network in the Tcp/Ip lan or wan
settings (in detail bellow) solved this ERROR 105 issue for me,
To change DNS settings (in Win 7) go to Control Panel / Network and
Internet / Network and Sharing Center (may be listed as "View Network
Status and Tasks" in control panel)
Next click on your connection (Local area network or Wireless area network)
click on Properties
select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP v4)
click on Properties (yes, again, but this is a different window)
click Advanced and select the DNS tab
Select any DNS addresses here and Click remove. Make sure there are non left
Click OK. you should now be back at the "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP v4)" window
without altering the IP settings at the top, select "Use The Following DNS Server Addresses"
in the first area write 8 . 8 . 8 . 8 . in the second write 8 . 8 . 4 . 4 .
next either:
1 select "Validate Settings Upon Exit" and press ok or 2 press ok and then restart the network connection for changes to take effect (In other words find your connection in "Network and Sharing Center" and click the "Connect or Disconnect" option above it to disconnect, then select connect to a network in the same window, select your network and click connect")
It is a problem due to DNS server ip address. If you configured ip address in mobile manually to connect wifi check the DNS address. If you have connected to wifi automatically means there is a problem of DNS ip in the wifi router configuration.Google has public dns of 8.8.8.8 if possible configure in Mobile and try it
It looks to me is a Name Resolution problem. The problem is with the DNS Server.
Do you have a Firewall or an Antivirus suite Installed? Please let me know in the next comment.
Then you have to check your DNS settings. IF you have use Router to perform DNS resolution, you have to check the Router's Diagnostics. You have to check the DNS server which the router connects. If it is internal, you may be having an IP Address misconfiguration. You can solve it by going to the Network and Internet connections (Control Panel Applet).
Right click the LAN icon and go to Properties and then Double click TCP/IP properties. Check whether you have assigned a DNS automatically. If you know the address of the Local DNS (if you have one), please specify the IP Address of DNS "Manually".
Right click the Icon above mentioned and select "Stats".
Click on "Support" and then "Details".
Check whether the DNS, DHCP (if available) and Default Gateway (your router most probably) are set Properly.
If all the settings are properly assigned, then you have to check your Antivirus suite and its Firewall (or Windows firewall if you have Modified the settings recently). Try Disabling.
If you still receive the error, you have to clear your DNS cache.
Click Start =>Run, type in cmd, press OK.
Type in ipconfig /flushdns and hit Enter.
Then again type ipconfig /registerdns. (You can view DNS Resolver Cache by using ipconfig /displaydns command). Clear your Browser's Cookies as well. You can do that by going to Tools => Internet Options.
If non of these works, you have to try this method.
Click Start =>Run, type in CMD, press OK.
Copy and paste this into the Command prompt:
netsh winsock reset catalog
Press Enter
Then copy and paste this in:
netsh int ip reset reset.log
Press Enter.
When finished restart your computer.
