I have a Samsung Projection TV. Model Number HCM4215X. Picture went dark. When I try to power it up, the chirps happen, red light blinks, audio stays on for a few seconds, stops, and then the TV restarts. I think the lamp needs replacing since I have no picture, but is there's anything else I should be looking to replace as well?

Is the TV on but you do not have a picture? put a flashlight up to the screen in a dark room. If you can see a picture it is the LEDs that are bad. It could also be a bad power supply in the tv. There are a number of possibilities that it can be that would need to be diagnosed. Most TV repair shops will charge a fee to do this. most will offer a similar TV replacement for a small fee if you trade your current TV. I had similar issues with samsung tvs. I went through every part inside the TV and found out that the LEDs were bad.

The projection lamp life is over.2 years has not been replace projection lamp,tv on daily watches like 4 or 5 hours a day?u need to replaced the projection lamp.

It could be the lamp went out and needs replacement. The Toshiba website states when this happens to unplug the televison for 10 minutes then plug back in. If that does not work then try another power outlet. If that does not work then call for service

Sounds like a shorted component in the power supply or the high voltage circuit.

If it shuts off and then the power light starts blinking red or it never comes on but the power light just blinks red continuously that is usually indicative of the convergence ICs (STK 392-110). You never want to replace the ICs without also replacing the resistors that are associated with them. There are usually 6 resistors, one for each of the colors and there corresponding direction, IE Red horizontal, red vertical, blue horizontal, ect. In the case of this model tv all of the resistors are 2.2 Ohm and 2watts. You will find them right where the STK 392-110 ICs are. Right in front of them. They are blue and have this color code on them. Red, red, gold, gold. These are represented by stripes on the resistors. You can get the parts from www.bdent.com They carry the ICs and the resistors. what i would do is crack into the tv and watch the individual parts being careful not to unplug anything while you take the back panel off.....turn it on and see what happens. let me know what happens

I have the sames t.v you have to go in the back flip the power cord switch...then reboot the t.v.

The beeping sound is most likely the high voltage generator needing replacement. This is a fairly easy job if you have some tech support to discharge the picture tube. You can go to the following link and leave them an email with your model number and your symptom and they will email you back with the part you need and they provide free tech support with instant messageing so you can do the repair yourself. the HV generator takes about a half hr to replace and takes only the basic soldering ability. heres the link.
