Usually I use it to record or listen to music, I record 2 hr long lectures, and today without warning while it was recording, the screen went blank. I cant read anything on it, and its black with vertical lines. I've reset it 3 times, and re-downloaded firm ware. Pls help, I need a solution before my next class!
Most likely the video chip inside has gone bad. Best bet would be to contact Creative via their support number. I wish you the best of luck.

when i finished downloading my songs, suddenly my zen went blank all of a sudden. i tried the reset button, it went on with lights but all blank.. help me! asap
for me it was gradual. first lines started appearing on the screen and then one day the screen just went blank. i still use it to listen to music. but its extremely difficult to navigate without a screen.
it was fine when i went to sleep but when i went to grab it on my way to school the screen is blank like it on sleep mode and when i try to turn it back on the green light starts then dim again i try every thing HELP
