I have a ms100ll generator I need wire diagram for the plug and capacitor

Take the specs off the capacitor and look it up on-line. Should be able to find one easily. You can also try your local electrical supply house.

No wiring diagram available from Briggs. Try re-magnetizing the rotor. No AVR or Capacitor listed in the parts list.

Disconnect the wires to brushes ( pay attention to the order) and apply 12vdc to brushes. Positive goes to brush closest to the bearing. Start the generator and check for output. If output is normal run the unit a few minutes to ensure re-magnetization then shut down normally. After shut down disconnect the 12 vdc source and re-install the previous disconnected wires. Now re start the generator and test for output should be okay provide there is no problems with the alternator. If no output during the above re-magnetization then your rotor windings my burned out.

it could also be the diodes on the end of the armature, just take the capacitor to any motor rewind specialist and they will test it and advise if its within spec

You need to change your AVR/Capacitor. (Depends on what is fitted to your generator. 2-4 wires = capacitor. 5+ wires = AVR) and you can purchase them here:

FYI, it overloaded the Alternator Output.

Please be aware the total wattage is split between the 2 lowest voltage sockets (windings) i.e. for example a 4500 running watts generator would be 2250running watts per plug.

You also CANNOT use the 230/240v socket at the same time as any of the 110/115v/120v sockets, as this winding is used to make the higher voltage. This is the case on all generators!!

I have a 15000 ultrasource generator the start and stop switch was taken out i need to put it back The problem is i dont know which wire goes where and when i look at the wire diagram the numbers are different the numbers on my unit are 15, 11, 133, 14, 12, The 15 and 11 are the same wires the start and stop switch has 6 males on the back to plug the wires into Does anyone know which wire goes where???

There are at least two AVRs for this generator. The original AVR has the diodes mounted on an external heat sink. The updated AVR has the diodes mounted directly on the circuit board. I have a schematic of the original model with the external diodes but it doesn't have the values or parts on the schematic. I will be more than happy to e-mail you a copy of what I have.

High no-load voltage Capacitor with high capacity
Check and replace. Low no-load voltage Speed to low Check and adjust rpm Faulty rotary diodes Check and replace Breakdown in windings Check winding resistance Capacitor with low capacity Check and replace. Proper no-load but low loaded voltage Capacitor with low capacity Check and replace. if wires are connected start with the Diodes first electronics parts stores will have these in stock as well as cheeper. hope this helps
