How do i recharge my goldstar r5050y3 ac

Not getting cold enough does indicate gas loss. Specialists do recommend replacing gas after a period anyway to prolong the ac life, so probably would not be a bad idea to get it recharged

There should be a metal tag with the identification number and all details stamped and riveted to the back, sides or even underside. But usually on the back of the unit. But whatever is written on it is meaningless if your unit is not cooling to your satisfaction, plus it may have lost the refrigerant over the years and become less efficient. So depending on the room size you can buy a new unit. Or depending on which county you are in you may be able to have it recharged with the refrigerant.

It might just need to be recharged or the inline filter could be plugged

mcdevito75 here 90% chance your low on freon, you don"t cahrge it the a.c repair shop does, you"d need the gas first and it's a commercial item then the tools would cost you the same if you charged it anyway and the shop gives a guarantee.

Yes I accidentally drop my Gold Star Model #R5050 out the window while installing it. I opened it up and the two(2) white wire are off and I don't know were they go. I try to connect the to the empty terminals and I got a spark out of the outlet. Can you please help me....

But does it work fine? it's normal for the compressor tu turn on and off randomly, is it cooling fine??

I read that its just simply cool with low fan on energy saver...on another site.
