We have newly installed phone line with a number of secondary sockets. The only phone we ever got to work here is a single digital cordless (BT 3100). When we try to install our digital phone base BT Verve with extra phones - we find the phone works fine to dial out (full ring tone, voicemail etc). But will not ring when it is receiving incoming calls. When dialling our landline it appears to be fine ie you hear it ringing but then goes to voicemail because noone picks up.
BT are clueless. They say our line is fine. We have broadband on it, plus SKY and a burglar alarm - don't know if this is the problem. Tried disconnecting the phone line to Sky - no difference. I KNOW that somewhere out there is a very wise BT person who knows the answer. But in the meantime I get the very lovely but useless lady in Mumbai.
Has anyone ever encountered this problem. It is driving me nuts! Thanks
My GE cordless handset won't ring when it's on the base charging but it will when I take it off. I've taken off the battery and disconnect the phone from the wall to try to reset it, but it still doesn't ring.
Bt cordless phone i have pressed something and it has locked can anyone tell me how to unlock it

I have exactly the same problem although the other day we did receive a call and thought everything was fine but next day no rings on incoming calls. So annoying.
