Outside unit bad,air handler is fine. what unit will replace that model and match air handler.

Defective thermostat wire.
Defective contactor.
With the t-stat set for cool and turned down on a low temperature, check for 24 volts at the contactor low voltage hookup. If you have 24 volts, replace the contactor.
You can manually close the contactor to make sure the high voltage is going through it.

When ever you hear a buzzing like you are hearing means one thing one of the fuses on the outside disconnect box is bad. Only getting 1/2 the power. Find the bad fuse and get the same size and will be good to go. ken

Depends on if your going to stay with the old refrigerent system of R 22 ro upgrade to the new R410A system. I have been upgreading my customers to 410A if the compressor has failed. Replacement of all components recomended on a compressor burn out.

was there any refrigerant loss? "bumping" that results in movng usualy causes a leak.If the system is totally empty, It shouldn't start.. If it did major oh nos! will appear. Does it not start all? and was it running when it got thumped? May have to call a tech out on it. Sorry.
