Xerox WorkCentre M128 hard reset

As i've seen here several people with the same problem, here where I work someone changed the default password for this printer and as usual too no one knows it. Is it possible to hard reset the printer in order to reset the admin account to default? Thank you in advance

Yes! what you will need to do is...

Hold down the [0] for 7 seconds and press [start] without releasing the [0]
you will be prompted for a password. enter [6789] and press confirm
select system settings followed by administrator log in/set up and change the password back to [11111]

SOURCE: Hello, I've bought a old xerox workcentre pro

Hello Laurent,
Mostly, the user login used to be simply admin and the password 1111. you can quickly run through this links below for helpful tips on getting around the amin login of the xerox workcenter.
http://www.office.xerox.com/userdoc/WC7425_WC7428_WC7435/pdfs/sys_admin_guide_en.pdf
http://wiki.ubc.ca/images/3/34/ColorQube_SAG_10_30_09.pdf
You can easily check the xerox login through this steps below:
Press the "Log In/Log Out" button on the Xerox C3545's control panel, which is located to the right of the indicator lights. Enter your administrator login ID if you have already changed it, or type "11111" if this is your first time logging in.
Tap the "System Settings" option. Choose the "Login Setup/Auditron Administration" option. Tap "Login Setup/Auditron Mode."
Press the "Local Machine Access" button at the left side of the screen to turn on the Auditron option. Tap the box for each feature that will require an Auditron login account, such as "Copy Service," "Print Service," "Fax Service" or "Scan Service."
Press "Save" and tap "Close" to save the security configuration. Tap "Close" and "Exit." Navigate back to the "Login Setup/Auditron Mode" screen if you also want to turn on the Auditron Mode feature for any jobs sent over your network.
Choose the "Xerox Standard Accounting" option instead of "Local Machine Access." Tap the box for each service you want to secure with the Auditron feature and choose "Save," "Close" and "Exit."
Would be glad to know if this information was helpful to you. All the best Laurent Kreps. Elect_Comp

SOURCE: reset WorkCentre 24, Xerox

In menus you browse to the service tab, then serivice diagnostics. Go to NVRAM reset and perform the NVM reset.
Before you do that, print out a configuration page if you want to rememebr the network settings. It will set the IP address back to default also.

There is an error in the in the server password or a template setting.
Here is the documentation. Pretty straight forward

Login to the Server was not possible during Scan to Server file transfer.
arrwup.gifInitial Action Refer to BSD 16.1.
Power OFF/ON
arrwup.gif Procedure Set the login name and password in the destination server.
Set the attributes of the Job Template file correctly.
From a client PC, set the same account as the above as a resource using CW.

SOURCE: Reset password for Xerox M128

What password are you wanting to change? You can change any password, except Auditron access without changing the configuration.
Even changing the auditron does not change the machine settings, that will just make you set the limits.
You can change any password safely without affecting the configuration..

SOURCE: Problem connecting Win 7 64-bit

Try this link, it goes directly to the 64 bit driver download site.

http://www.support.xerox.com/support/workcentre-pro-123-128/downloads/enus.html

If that doesnt work. Go to www.xerox.com. Select support and drivers, in the search box, type 128, then go to the workcenterpro 123/128 and click on downloads and drivers.
You will find 32, 64 bit drivers for all OS.

How do I change the default tray on our Xerox Workcentre 7328. It won't allow default settings at the moment, and all print jobs are being sent to Tray 1 instead of Tray 4.

Log in as administrator. Press "key" button and enter pass code 1111. You will find the settings quite easily and can change them.

Error 016-311 xerox workcentre M128

This error code means the Scanner is not installed. The reason for this code could be a bad or diconnected interface cable, or corrupt system software. Check the cables for connectivity. If the problem persists, it will probably require a call to Xerox service. 800-821-2797
