As soon as I plug my machine into the socket and turn the socket on,it immediately blows the trip. The socket and plug are in good condition. The machine sat unused for 2 weeks whilst on holiday, then has blown trip ever since.
It is best to disconnect the mains lines from the control panel to the different section, which are the motor, heater, inlet and outlet valve pump. If the fuse trips then the fault is the control panel board and could be a failure of the rectifier or SMPS driver. You might need to replace the board.
Testimonial: "Thanks.I disconnected the motor from the PCB and the machine came on.I removed the motor and found the brushes soaking with condensation,so I stripped them, dried them and placed both the brushes and the motor in a warm area above the oven for 45 mins.I cleaned the commutator of the motor and reassembled. It is now working lovely. well, seems to me that you are using too much juice for the circuit, which implies a SERIOUS issue with the machine. perhaps the motor is locked, or something in control panel is shorted out?

Can't promise it isn't the motor, but there are other suspects (maybe more likely, and probably cheaper to fix). Few questions: 1. Do you have a RCCB (also called an RCD, Residual Current Device, Current Operated Earth Leakage Trip etc.) protecting your ring mains? (How to look for one: If your wiring is less than fifteen or so years old, it might be built into the main switch on your fuse box, if a little bit older, you want to look for a separate box - usually grey, about the shape and size of an After-Eights box, with a big switch and a test button on). 2. What stage of the cycle does this happen at? 3. If it always happens during the "wash" phase, can you make it happen at all if you run a series of cold wash cycles? (don't need to have laundry or detergent in the machine to test this). A.

Try disconnecting the heater element first and see what happens if still same unplug motor and try again, it is a process of elimination.
Plz rate solution.
Thanks.

That means that there is a short or a contact inside the machine.
The short can be on power cable, on control panel, on in the internal wiring harness.
SOURCE: washing machine keeps tripping electric switch
Hiya,
there is a few things that will do this to your electics 1st & formost if your trip switch is tripping off remember this is a safty device to prevent fire so ignoring the problem & switching the power back on to try again could run the risk of fire!!
when the power trips you will need to know at what point in the wash this happens if its when the machine is emptying then it would be a pump issue if the machine is emptying no problem then the issue is more likely to be the motor either of which would need to be replaced if you are having these problems.
on rare ocasions you can spring a leak & if water gets on the electrics this will also trip the power but this is 1 of the least likely posabilatys.. rest assured if the power is tripping off then your home electrics are working fine & to confirm all sockets run from 1 main fuse all lights run from a second main fuse then there is a few other bits that run on there on fuses too i.e. cooker, power shower etc.. remember always get a qualified electrician to work on your electrics to ensure the job is carried out correctly
Hope this helps
Hi
The washing machine is obviously
drawing too much current for the breaker to handle. This could be due to the
washing machine drawing more that it should or because the breaker cannot
handle the current the machine needs, coupled with the other machines on the
ring main. If the fuse on the plug of the washing machine does not blow, then it
could be that there are too many appliances on the ring main. The fuse on the
machine may not blow however, if the breaker has a faster blow time than the
fuse in the plug. Try plugging the washing machine into another ring main. Or
try plugging out all the other appliances on the same ring main and test it
out.
If the ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit
Breaker) is tripping only when the washing machine is running then something in
the machine is faulty.
One common problem is the heating element. Over time they tend to crack and
when the water gets in, the ELCB will trip out. This can be problematic to
diagnose as offten the element will only trip after a period of heating. Bottom
line, if it is tripping the ELCB then it is dangerous and should be fixed
before any further use.

further query else please accept the suggestion.
