Make sure you have the lamp door or cover installed correctly. If it is not installed correctly it will not fire because the door cover engages a safety switch. Also make sure the lamp is seated properly. If all is well then suspect a defective lamp driver or ballast PCB

This model was recalled by Panasonic-----massive recall. Start by having the lamp examined or tested---that is the place to begin.

Our TV just turned off tonight. The power light flashes green, but never turns on. After a few seconds, it flashes red. We replaced the lamp last month.

This model (pt50lc13) was subject and part of a massive recall by Panasonic and the main problem was the Ballast which powers the lamp had repeated failures where it destroyed the lamp over and over again.

If lamp bad again (should have a warranty on that from where you bought it) the ballast should be dealt with---there is a kit for this but not for a novice at this kind of repair.

I have a PT50LC13 HDTV and it quit working today. The little red light on the front where it says lamp started flashing red and every time I tried to turn on my TV it made a noise. I just wanted to ma

From the info you gave, it does sound like the lamp is bad. The sound you hear is the ballast trying to ignite what used to be a lamp. The lamp is assessable throught a 6x6 cover usually in the rear of the set held on by usually two screws. After the cover is off ( with a flashlight ) locate the screws(2) that hold the lamp housing in, remove those and it should slide out. Make sure you unplug the set first and remember to reset the lamp timer witch is located in your owners booklet after your done with the set on.
