I have a kodak ESP C315 printer and the black ink does not seem to work. When I try to print in black and white it comes out a faded blue or green color. I've done the test page so many times that I've just about used up all of my color ink but does nothing for the black. How do I get my black ink to work?

Call Kodak and ask for a solution. Most likely they will give you a new print head and cartridge.

you need to use the head cleaning tool in the printer properties, youll need to keep running it untill it runs clear and it uses alot of your ink while it does it.

youll find the cleaning option if you go to your
start/settings/printers and faxes, right click on your printer and go to printer preferences then maintinence

SOURCE: how can I over ride my ink level tracker on the

The Kodak printers are designed in such a way so as to work with combination of Both color and black ink..In other printers, the prints are not that sharp, but In kodak printers color are awesome because even if we print black and white, the color from the color ink is also taken to give you those lifetime prints.Unfortunately There is no way to overcome this ink indicator. You cans et the preferences in the printer settings to print in black and white in your computer .

I replaced the ink and closed machine tried to copy but the replace ink keeps coming on,, what can I do?

Are you using Kodak cartridge? They have a chip that communicates with the printer. If non-Kodak ink cartridge, it may not work properly.

Is their anything else I can do to fix the problem?

Go to settings, reset the type of picture and text to be printed. If this doesnt work you can now get a new printer for a great price on Amazon these days.

Kodak esp c315 not printing black

I had this exact problem and was able to fix it quickly. My black would not print or was printing lightly.

1) Open the printer and remove the black cartridge
2) Saturate a cotton ball with alcohol
3) push the cotton ball into the small pad/screen where the ink goes
4) wait a few seconds then replace the black cartridge
5) run maintenance app and do a cleaning then a test page

In my case this cleared up the problem quickly and without a lot of mess or dis-assembly

Purchased Kodak ESP 3250 yesterday. Not printing photographs.

Yes sounds to me like one of your ink cartridge is empty. Replace and try again.

I just bought a new printer today its a lenmark Z2300m Color Printer i only have color ink for it do i need black ink for it because everytime i try to print it comes out greenish

Under your printer preferences there is a way to print gray scale. SO even if your image is in color, it will print black and white. Every printer interface is different, but when you go to print, there's usually a properties or setting button that will bring you to another page from the initial print menu. here is where you would choose gray scale.

If you try for black with only a color cartridge, it'll come out a dark green or blue color. Or on some cases, it will tell you it's out of black and you can't print.

My Kodak ESP 5 fades when printing then will go blank even when I have ink

try copying something from the printer in standalone mode and check if the same issue or not.....if it is then try and do print head cleaning from the menu option and if still does not resolve call kodak tech support as it is print head issue and needs replacement..........if the copy comes out fine and faded print is only when trying to print from the computer then it could be a software issue
