I need help on installing logitech quickcam v-ugb35 with windows 7 Ult

If Logitech is supporting this model for windows 7, simply go to logitechs website and download the driver.

If they do not have it you can try:

Plugging it in and doing a windows update.

or

Manually Installing the driver

I got it working on: Windows 7 and 2008, both 64 bits for Logictech V-UBG35,V20. Here's the steps:

1. Startup Win7 (64bits) with Internet access.
2. Plug in Logitech V-UBG35,V20, let Win7 auto-install driver (no gymnastic needed for me, just plug in and it's done).

3. Backup good driver using Driver Genius (backup feature is FREE in Driver Genius, google it).

4. Restart Win 2008 Server, 64bit
5. Plug-in V-UBG35,V20, let auto-install (bad) driver.
6. Goto Device Manager (Control Panel > ...), locate bad device/driver, right-click to Update.
7. Navigate to your backup copy of the driver from Win7.

1. the M/N v-ubc40 is the model number
P/N 861225-0000 is the part number.
these are made in china but the Logitech site should have the updated drivers for this model.

copy and paste into the address lin in your browser ( Internet Explorer) and click enter. This will bring up the page for you device.
Installation issue as per installation instruction for Windows 7 or Windows XP:

• If Windows Installer 3.1 (KB893803) is not installed on the system running Windows XP, the software will do so before continuing installation.
  
• Installation is only possible when installing with administrative privileges.
  

The most likely reason it isn't working is because the cd you got has older drivers which don't support windows 7, so you need to go on to the logiteck website and get the latest driver for it.

No, you can install it now. There should be no issue with upgrading later.
Only thing I would suggest is that you check if the webcam is compatible with Windows 7, but I think almost all Logitech webcams are, so no issue.
