Photograpgs wiped by accident

Following taking a lot of photos on holiday & messing with features on the camers on the plane home it is now saying there are 'no imaqges to display'.....
Will they be stored somewhere on the memory scard or camera to enable me to retrieve them?
I really hope so I'd hate to lose all my pictures :-(

I look forward to your reply

Try putting the memory card direct to your computer and try download images. If you get the same message then I'm afraid it looks as if you have wiped the images

You need to go to MENU, roll down to SET UP
if you roll down you would see at top
"Camera1", "Camera2" and "Memory Stick"
go to Memory Stick and roll down to COPY
go to ALBUM...
and then she ask you...All data in Album will be copied. Ready? touch OK ....
Now you create a folder with all the photos in the memory and you can download it.

SOURCE: memory card is full but there are no pictures on my camera.

Try using the "format" option in your camera's menu. That should wipe the card clean. There's probably a file or folder that the camera can't recognize as being one it created. You might also plug the card into a card reader and open it on a computer. The format option on the computer will also wipe the card clean to start fresh in the camera.

Your camera uses SD memory cards. On one edge is a slider switch: towards the electrical contacts is the unlocked position and away from them is locked.

Unfortunately, the switch is easy to move accidentally and it's also easy for it to appear to be unlocked when it isn't. Like any mechanical component it's also possible for the switch to fail.

If the switch is in the locked position then slide it fully to the unlocked position; if it's already in the unlocked position, slide it fully to the locked position and then fully back again. There should be a soft click at each end of the switch travel, if not then the switch is definitely faulty or obstructed.

If that fails, then try looking closely at the switch in both positions to ensure that there is no debris obstructing its movement, if not then check the electrical contacts to ensure that they're completely clean and grease-free. Don't touch the contacts with your bare skin, but if the contacts need cleaning then a cotton bud (Q-tip) moistened with a little alcohol or methylated spirits can be used to clean them.

If you still have no fix, then try a different SD card as yours may have an irreparable faulty switch. If the card does prove to be faulty then on most major brands you may be able to return them to the manufacturer for exchange: I've found that they will often do this on a goodwill basis even if the card is out of warranty.

If all options regarding the memory card are unsuccessful, then you have a faulty camera and further remedies require either a professional repair or replacement of the camera.

I hope that my answer has been of use and has given you additional options to fix your problem. Please take a moment to rate my reply.

Where can I see a list of which aircraft has been legally flying over our house?

You can use a program like flightaware.com to see flights that are on an instrument flight plan. That won't get you any info on most flights though.

Just got home from taking a lot of pictures on vacation but now I can only retrieve 5! Could I have accidently erased the rest? What can I try? I know they were on there.

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.

Pictures are not sharp

On most camers that means you are going to get a blurry photo because of camera shake. Using the flash should take care of it. You may have the flash set to "flash off" mode accidently, and in insufficient light the shutter speed is too slow to stop blur.
