Hi, My TV turns on and then will turn off after a few seconds or minutes. The light on the front of the tv indicating power will also go out. If I unplug the tv and wait for a few hours the tv will turn...

Generally, TVs have flashing error codes for some faults. Since you are not showing those, and it appears as a power problem, my guess would be bad filter capacitors.
Open it up and look for bulging capacitors. Replacing them may be another issue.

I have a 55" LG TV model#55LD520-UA when I turn it on the red stand by light blinks twice and the LG logo and clock flash for maybe 2or, 3 seconds then the screen goes black

Hi there. I would advise you to unplug your tv from the wall. Wait approximately 5 minutes. Hold down the power button on the tv for 15 seconds without the tv plugged in. This is what they call power cycling. If plugging back in the tv does not work; you might have a power board issue. A typical power board/circuit board repair runs from $25 to $125.

After connecting the Wii to LG TV (55 inch LD520C) the LG TV will not stay on! it blinks an image 3 times (maybe 10 seconds total), then turns OFF!! we disconnected the Wii, but the LG TV still turn

How old is the TV? LG warranties its TV's for 1 year unless you have a extended warranty from where you got it which is stupid not to have. Was the TV exposed to moisture or bugs? I've never heard of a Wii corrupting a TV. If no warranty then it could be a power supply or the main board. Find a repair service that gives free estimates, find out what needs to be fixed then go online and find the replacement part-Ebay.com and www.shopjimmy.com are good sources for parts. Replacing parts is easy, a screwdriver for screws and unplug cables by hand. If it's a power supply wait 1 hour before removing because the capacitors can still hold a charge and to be safe hold it by the edges of the board and put it on a non conductive surface like glass. If it's the Main board just switch it butsometimes after LG and Samsung main boards are replaced Solarization can happen. If it does just google it and you will find a easy fix. Good Luck

Can the service menu for the LG 52sz8d dlp tv be accessed from the orig remote not the service remote just installed new lamp and tv was working fine for 1 week now the lamp indicator light comes on and...

Hi there,

One possible solution to access the service menu on LG tv's is as follows with steps 1 - 4:

1. With the TV on, press and hold the MENU button on the TV front panel.
2. While holding that button, press and hold the MENU button on your remote.
3. Hold both buttons for ~5 seconds until the service menu comes up on the TV.
4. Release the remote MENU button first, then the TV MENU button.
If you are looking to reset the lamp indicator then continue with the following steps 5 - 11:

5. Press and hold the ENTER (or OK) button on the TV front panel.
6. While holding that button, press and hold the MUTE button on the remote.
7. Hold both buttons until the Lamp Life Hours show up on your TV screen.
8. Release the MUTE button first, then the ENTER button on the TV front panel.
9. Make a note of the lamp hours if you want.
10. To reset the lamp hours, press the SELECT button (the one between the four arrow keys with two concentric circles on it) on your remote.
11. It will ask you to confirm the reset--press SELECT again to confirm.

To verify you've reset the hours, you can repeat steps 1-9 above and then just press the EXIT button on your remote.

Hope this helps. Regards, James.

Lg rear projection model: RT52SZ60db

Hi,

You need to use the original LG RT52SZ60DB remote.

  1. Press MENU buttons on the REMOTE and on the TV at exactly the same time and hold for about 3 seconds (TV buttons are just below lower left of screen)
  2. Scroll down the SERVICE MENU to No. 14 LAMP REPLACE
  3. Press VOL |> button to enter lamp hours
  4. Press OK button to RESET hours, or CANCEL/EXIT to Exit menu
Hope this helps.
