Switch on the radio and the display will show 'C'. Press the P1 button followed by the station increment button until you reach the first code digit. Press P1 again and follow the above procedure until the last digit has been entered and finally press P1 once more. The set will emit a confirmation beep from the speaker and will begin to operate.

Changed battery now radio needs code do i really need to pull the radio out then take it to the dealership to get the code

There should be a four-digit code in the owners manual if you have it, it should tell you how to input it with the stereo buttons, however it will only allow you to try it 3 times, then it will lock, if this happens you must leave the key in the ignition on ACC or on for 45 minutes to an hour to reset the computer. if you do not have the code, get a phillips head screwdriver and remove two screws on either side of the central dashboard console. remove of loosen dashboard till you can see the exposed metal, where there should be a serial number, write that down and call a mitsubishi dealership, where you can read them the serial number and they should be able to give you the code. Hope this helps

Philips r770 radio code

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect itagain, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your carradio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. Ifyou do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's servicecentre and get them to enter this code for you.

Mitsubishi Eclipse Spider Gt-S I cannot figure out how to get the fascia panel and face plate off of the radio to get to the numbers needed to retrieve the radio code. How do I take the panels OFF?

Hi

The stereo in the Eclipse can be removed with nothing more than a Phillips screwdriver

Disconnect the negative battery cable from your Eclipse's battery. Remove the two Phillips screws along the bottom of the radio/climate control trim panel. Lift up the bottom of the trim panel to unlock the lower retaining clips. Work your fingers around the sides of the panel to loosen the other clips and remove the panel. Remove the four Phillips screws holding the stereo in place. Slide the stereo out of the dashboard and disconnect the wiring harness and antenna cable from the back of the device.

Unfortunately the code for this Serial Number is not in the available database so will not be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet.

Will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service only.

Sorry I couldn`t help any further

Car radio code for r770 rover radio

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST ANOTHER QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number

If not then try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive
