Our Miele G892 Touchtronic was run with the wrong type of soap, liquid dishsoap. Now the dishwasher won't drain and it is filled with soap bubbles. Is there a way to get the drain clear?

Add some salt in the cabinet and a bit of water. salt acts as a foam suppressant

Miele G892 dishwasher stopped working. No lights at all. There is power from the outlet to the block behind the kick plate. According to manufacturer, there should be lights even with the door open so this...

This seems to be a failure of the main program controller unit.It needs to be confirmed that the unit received power, if so the controller is faulty.
Check if there is any fuse , check if there is line break to the unit.

Do you have a meile g892 dishwasher?

Yes,

a G892SC - for over 6 years now. It's so quiet that many a time I've opened the door to put something in it, only to discover it'd been running (rinsing, etc., not drying!) the whole time! Despite 3 years in the Army and lots of Rock concerts, I have no hearing loss ;-)

One year ago, the little orange plastic detergent lid latch broke. And considering how well-made the rest of the unit is, it was not as robust as the rest of the DW. I Emailed Miele, and they sent out a repairman who replaced the entire soap unit on the door for FREE, even though it was well out of warranty. You pay more, and you get more.

Drain Hose Replacement

drain hoses are quite standard. the rubber spigot at each end can be different sizes and some have a right angle bend at the end. suggest you take out the old hose and take it along to match up - easiest way

check the rubber seal around the door to see if its torn or smashed. if it is replace it, could someone have set somthing heavy on the door while it was open that would have stressed the hinges. it is most likely one of these problems take a nail file and slid it gently between the door and the body of the dishwasher if it slides in easy where it leaks you know the seal is bad and replace it.
