Reboot your computer. 2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard. This will bring up the Windows Security window. Click the "Task Manager" button and then click the "Task Manager" tab. 3. You will see a list of files/applications. These are the applications running in the background on your system, whether they show on your taskbar or not. Any one of these applications could be causing a conflict with the Yahoo! Messenger installation. 4. Click the top item on the list to highlight it. Then hold the "Shift" key down and click the last item on the list. This should highlight the whole list. 5. Click the "End Task" button. I just purchased the RCA model L32HD31R. Everything works fine except that I can't remove the analog channels from the list. I get my signal OTA so no cable or sat issues. I go into the List Menu and they...

I had the same problem and finally sloved it. You have to leave the input channels ( Vid1, Vid2, SVid, Cmpt, HDMI, etc ) in the In Channel List. So push the INPUT button, go to VID1, press Menu, go down to List & Labels then check In Channel list. Do this for all the inputs and then run your Channel search again. I hope this works for you. It did for me.

Turned on set....screen all black except a dark blue rectangle in center which reads:Failed to receive broadcast [E202]

That message is presented when a selected digital channel is too weak to decode. Let us hope that something was accidentally changed:

Is the channel legitimate?
Is the antenna/cable still connected (to the Digital input)?
Go into menu - setup - channel setup. Is the selection of either cable or air channels correct for your situation?
Use menu - setup - Antenna Setup-DIGITAL to examine the signal strength. Is there nothing at all, or is it just a question of strength?

Odds favor a change in channel setup that you would not have made intentionally, or a simple physical problem (input cable, etc.). Start from scratch, and check the settings and connections you originally made. Hopefully it will be simple and cheap!

Have Warning message on DVD 'Your Guide Plus has not received TV Listings. Check your host channel.' What do I do?

Symptoms / Customer Description
TV Guide issues.
Example:
1. Not getting the correct info, or no information.
2. TV Guide giving double channels.
3. TV Guide grid comes up but no information.
[Primary Symptom Code: 118X ]

Solution

TV Guide information comes from the Host Station.

1. If no information on some channels or incorrect information not TV issue, but station not giving any information or incorrect information.

2. If grid comes up, but no TV Guide Info could be
siginal issue.

3. Double stations showing up. Unfortunately double listing is the way it's going to be. They have to send out all possible OTA listings for the area. You can hide the channels that you are not getting.

For these type of issues
Please have the customer call our Customer Support Line 800-222-7669
Our Call Center Rep. will fill out an investigation form with data pulled from the TV. These reports will be sent to Gem Star for their investigation, and the Call Center will get
back to the customer.

Cobra 29 delta tune

For normal operation, set this control to the center position.
This feature has several uses and can help receiver operation.
If a received signal is slightly off frequency, the Delta-Tune control can be used to òfine-tuneó your receiver. Fine tuning is accomplished by listening for a more readable signal at the speaker or by noting the Smeter reading when the Delta-Tune control is operated. Another use of this control is eliminating adjacent interference (bleed over from other channels). If an exceptionally high level signal from an adjacent channel is creating interference on the channel being used, the Delta-Tune can be used to minimize or eliminate the interference. Rotate the control until you obtain minimum adjacent channel interference. NOTE: Delta-Tune is operable only in the receive mode.

It doesn't actually help receive any better, just can help kinda like a clairifier.

Just bought a second hand Archos 700tv. Everything works fine, except that I can't get any reception on the tv at all. used both the supplied aerial and home mainone, still reads red in the signal strength...

Hi Dorr

Did you buy your Archos from someone living in a different part of the country? If so, it is quite likely that you will have to retune your receiver to the local channels which may be on different frequencies in your area.

The Archos should have a scan function to look for active channels. I'm not sure how to access this but take a look in the manual, it should be an easy task.

The saved list you refer to, just shows the tags and does not mean that the signals is actually being received.

Hope this helps.............

RX-V596 center and rear channels do not have any sound

Nevermind... My center channel output was set to "NONE" I've had this receiver for a few years now, probably set it that way back when I got it. Oh well, Helps to re-read the user manual...

The info is in the "SET MENU" section of the manual, Pages 35-38. Should solve the issue for "almccrum" above as well.

If you don't have your manual it can be downloaded here:
