No Sim Card Installed and ICCID has no value

I had kept my iPhone 3G for charging on the floor and the next minute it began to say No Sim. Removed and replaced numerous time the sim card and still No Sim error message. Then reset and restored to factory setting and jailbroke the phone using Pwnage 2.2 and still No Sim Card Installed. Also I see that ICCID has no value.

Download redsn0w. Also, if you are talkin about holding the option key, then i'm assuming you have the ipsw file already. Jailbreak the phone using redsn0w, and then through Cydia (which will be on the iphone after jailbreak) get and install ultrasn0w. If you have any questions about detailed unlocking instructions, send me an email. And I'll go into more detail.

How to insert sim card in iphone 3g

Turn off your iPhone 3G and make sure any cords or connector cables are removed from the device. Then, hold your iPhone 3G upright.
  • Locate the Sleep/Wake button and headphone jack on the very top of the iPhone. Between these two components you will see a very small hole.
  • Insert the tip of a paper clip into the hole to release the iPhone's SIM card tray. The small tray will pop up relatively quickly from the top of the iPhone. If there is already a SIM card in the tray, use your fingers to remove it.
  • Insert the SIM card you want to install into the phone facedown in the tray. Make sure the side without the reflecting panel is inserted first.
  • Press the SIM card tray gently back into the slot until you hear it "click" into place. Now turn your iPhone on. All of the information on the card will now be in your iPhone 3G.

Hi can u help with my iphone 3g. it is stuck on invalid sim and emergency mode. how can i get this off? and is there a way to unlock a iphone 3g 3.1.3?

Here is what you have to do. Get a friend that is on the same carrier as the sim card that is in your phone.

Next take your sim card out and put a friends (same carrier) sim card in and restore it. When it is done it will still be in emergency mode. When it says invalid sim put your original one back in it and after about 30 seconds it will go back to normal.

This solution just fixed my iphone 3g so this should work.

    Best of luck, Michael Proctor

    Cannot set up 3g iphone

Hello, I think you are asking about activation and if so, you have to insert the sim card into the top slot, by pulling slot out inserting the sim key into the small hole next to earphone socket.

Then you need to charge phone, then connect to iTunes and sync to download software. iTunes will take you through it from there.

    Hope this helps

    No SIM card installed

I too have had the "no sim card installed message. What has always worked for me is to go into settings and put the phone into airplane mode for about ten seconds and then switch back to regular mode which causes the phone to reconnect to the ATT network. The sim message goes away. This is also a good fix for when your phone isn't connecting to 3G or showing an "E" instead of 3G.

    Won't detect Sim Card

Calm down. Could be a number of things causing lost service. Restart the PC with iphone disconnected. Bring up itunes, plug in iphone and let the activation sit for a couple of minutes. If status does not change about sim card, eject the sim card using a paper clip, insert that paper clip into the tiny hole on the top of the phone. disconnect the phone, insert the card again, and reconnect. Let me know if this helps.
