POWER CUT AND BLANK T.V.

Hello again...I posted earlier on with this problem....anyway after short power cut turned the T.V back on and a clicking sound came from the back. The on/off light flickers green continuously as does the sleep timer flash...both continuously. We also cannot even turn the T.V off/on via the top button. Thank you for any help.

Refrigerator will not restart for a very long period of time after power cut.

there may be a faulty capacitor for the compressor motor
I would suggest a technician check it out as it should come back working within minutes of a power cut
there will be a short delay until the pressures even out as compressors have difficulty starting under pressure but you delay is extreme and needs checking out.

I have a 6 year old Carrier Unit and Thermostat that was new with the house. Last night the A/C jsut turned off. I looked at the Thermostat and it was blank, no power. i thought it was the fuse. It was NOT...

if the thermostat is blank is very likely that the 24 volt transformer shorted. depending on the unit it might be equipped with a fuse similar to the ones found on vehicles if not transformer will need to get replaced this is located inside the air handling unit. the source of the short might be outside next to the compressor.. if the control wires(small wires going into compresor) are exposed it is possible that a pet move them, someone cut them with a grass trimer raypena_0.jpgrain or sprinklers cause them to short ( if exposed) first fix the wires them replace the fuse all should be fine.

When I press the power button to turn it on, it lights up green momentarily, then turns off again, and won't power up.

Please check the power supply unit. it is possible that the power output is less and so cut off when the power is activated.
Also it is possible there are errors in the main board and so when the CPU activates the power supply it encounters a SHORT and so cut off as a protection. if so remove main board and connectors to check by disconnection of circuits.

vc6 luna, A visit to YOUTUBE should help you understand how you will investigate and possibly repair your very old E173FP display. The Switch mode power supply will be first thing to visually inspect for "bad" capacitors.
