The new toner cartridge I placed in the Sharp AL 800 copier is not working. I am getting a CL message code and I cannot determine why I am getting this message. I've tried manuerving the cartridge and wonder what else I can do.
Sharp AL-800 copier quit. On the alarm panel, there is a blinking "roller"?. Anyway, it looks like it could be a roller. Nothing I do will make this alarm go away. What can I try?

What is the error message and how do I fix it?
Is "CH" steady or flashing? If it's steady, the door is not shut properly.
If it's flashing, the machine doesn't detect the presence of the toner cartridge (defective toner cartridge). Try another toner cartridge (an empty cartridge will do).
To get the blue handle to stay locked sometimes takes fiddling with it when the cartridge is in.

The error message that comes up is CH. I insert the toner cartridge but the blue plastic strip across the top will not stay locked in place when I shut the front cover. That's when the CH error message comes on. Yes, the rest of the lights on the display panel stay on, just that the CH comes up in place of the number of copies. Thanks!
