if your previous hard drive can be read externally you need to use the recovery files due to the fact that your operating system is in the old drive and must be installed into the new drive or get a fresh operating system install.

This is due to a BIOS error,Restart your computer. As it is powering up, you will see text along the bottom screen saying "Press Delete to enter BIOS." Depending on your operating system, it may ask you to press one of your function keys, such as F3 or F4. Either way, press the required key as the computer is booting.Do not make any other changes to your BIOS unless you are confident you know what you are doing because it could damage your laptop.

1. Unplug AC adapter. Shutdown

2. Remove battery, Connect AC Adapter

3. Start windows7. Remove Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager , battery

4. Shutdown, Remove AC Adapter, Install battery, Reattach AC Adapter.

5. Power up -

Now Plugged in and Charging.

well acer has a few weaknesses, the keyboard and the battery... my friend bought an acer laptop too and had to change the battery with the new one after 5 month used

contact your ceo contact again and make them fix...their problem...your acer is junk and they need to replace it
