SOURCE: DW411 Can I put a velcro

Dewalt is not going to make an accessory for you to do so, since that sander was designed to use 1/4 sheet sandpaper, and therefore takes standard paper clamped in place. You could make your own base for the sander out of thin plywood or some other suitable material, covered perhaps with a laminate or rubber surface, that would accept PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) sandpaper, which you can buy in rolls appropriately sized for your sander. Or you can try some kind of after-market conversion kit such as this one (See also here, etc.)
If you really want a hook and loop base on your sander, I recommend you bite the bullet and simply purchase a random orbital sander with a H&L pad. Then you'll of course have to buy the perforated paper discs to go with it....
But you'll easily be able to change grits, and the performance and quality of your sanding will improve.
You might check the reviews in various woodworking magazines before you make a purchase, just so you know what you're likely to get for your money. There's a vast array of machines made, and the quality varies accordingly, and depends to some extent on your budget and intended use.
Good luck!

Belt sander runs until I put pressure on it

It sounds like the sand paper itself is slipping. There should be an adjustment to tighten the pressure on the sand paper itself.

Palm sander

The answer "Go to Dewaltservicenet" can be confusing - the actual site is servicenet.dewalt.com and even then, entering your part to get to manual can be infuriating. This is the link for the current model which, for all intents and purposes, is the same. The link to the helpful page is: http://www.dewalt.com/tools/woodworking-sanders-orbital-sanders-d26441k.aspx . You'll get a pop-up box with a dropdown that has a few numbers, nothing else. Just click on "1" and ignore language that indicates that this model has more than one - it does not. After you click on "1", the pop-up disappears that you're on the d/l page. Downloads are in the upper right corner. You want "Instruction Manual".You should get to this page: http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Parts/Browse#6229 but may not, it's very glitchy. On this page, you'll want to make sure "Sanders" is on the left and "sheet" is on the right. If you try to get the Manual from the DW411 page, a blank page will open. Make sure your pop-up blocker is off or that you allow dewalt.com. The instructions for the d26441k are identical to the dw411 - same technique for loading sanding sheets, same rods, etc. I've uploaded the d26441k page manual .pdf so that should help. It's easy to get lost on the Dewalt site while trying to find somthing so simple. :)

Can the platen on DW411 be replaced

Yes it can be replaced. If you go to www.ereplacementparts.com, you can look up your sander and find the parts you need. You can buy the parts there or get the part numbers and search the web for pricing.

Air and dust no longer blow into dust collection bag. I suspect that there is a clog somewhere.

are you putting holes in the papper with the guide? there has to be holes in the paper for the dust collection to work

My printer is saying 'no paper feed' when there is clearly paper. The printer is not gripping the paper so it could print.

THe first thing to do would be to clean the pick up roller/s. If you can not reach them by hand, use a sheet of fine sand paper. put the sand paper in the paper tray so the gritty side will contact the feed roller. Then hold the paper in place while exicuting a test print. You wil get a jam, or papaer empty indicator. now do it again, and then one more time. Now remove the sand paper and use a damp thin cloth. make sure this is secured and will not be pulled into the machine. Now one more time run a test page. Now you should be good to go. If this did not solve the feed problem your feed rollers need to be replaced, or you have a paper present sensor problem. This could take some disassembly so let's try the easy stuff first.

Need to find replacement switch part

best way is go to dewaltservicenet.com and they have a service/repair center locator section type in your information and you can find one pretty close that way. Also you can download a schematic for the tool while you are there.

Sand paper not tight

it could be a dirt buildup in front of the yoke not allowing it to fully extend. could also be the rear roller is worn down, I would recommend going to Makitatools.com and downloading a breakdown to see how to remove the mechanism to clean . the yoke should snap when the lever is released to install the belt.

Headlights are foggy inside how do i clean them

the fogginess is caused by oxidation on the outside. normal wear and tear.

This is what i did on my honda civic 1996- bought three sand paper 600-1500 and 2000. Bought plastic shine from autozone and some plastic gloves.

1) I cleaned it with diluted soap to get all the dirt out. Use soft cotton cloth to do this.
2) get some clean water and dip sand paper(600) and start sanding the headlight. sanding should be done in the same direction throughout. I used horizontal strokes. Don't let the sandpaper dry out.
3) clean it out with water so all the sand particles from the sanding is cleaned out.
4) start with the next grade sand paper and repeat the process till you are satisfied and the fogginess is gone.
5) clean it thoroughly with water and let it dry fully.
6) put in gloves and rub plastic shine all over the headlight and leave it to dry. Make sure it does touch the paint!! you can mask the sides to avoid that.
7) clean it with soft cotton or polishing cloth. It really works!!!

Also, stay away from direct sun while doing this. Having the hood up is helpful.
