Hello,

There are two types of driver managers for the iFP-800 series:
1. MSC version using iriver PLUS3
2. Manager version using iriver MUSIC MANAGER

Go to the support download site, see:
http://www.iriver.com/flash/index.asp?code=0302
Next to the GO bar, type the word ifp and hit Enter or click on GO for the available downloads.

MSC version: select the download and next select your country from the list: IFP-890 (your country)V195ums.zip

Manager version: select the download and next select your country from the list: IFP-890(your country)V175.zip

When downloads are blocked, allow downloads in the top page of the internet explorer.
When the iriver site freezes or returns to its previous page, renew the page. Try again, going to the required download and wait some time before starting the download action.

For the download of iriver PLUS3, click on PLUS3 in the left column of the support page.
The iriver MUSIC MANAGER and MAC software should be on the disk that came with the player.

What's your operating system?

These are the steps that helped me resolve a similar issue I had:

1) Find a computer with Windows XP (ServicePack2)
2) Intall iRiver Music Manager 3.16 from http://iriverinc.com/download/iRiver_Manager_v316sp.exe
3) Download the Firmware update for your player from http://iriverinc.com/download/ifp800/IFP-8XXT.HEX to your Desktop
4) Start the Music Manager and connect your player to the computer. (The XP should recognize your player; and the Music Manager should show the "connected" status)
5) In the Music Manager, click on Tools => Upgrade Firmware, then select the file from your Desktop. NOTE: The upgrade process takes 4 -5 minutes.

After the firmware update, Windows Vista and other PC's should recognize your player.

If you can connect it to a PC with XP on it, and have an iRiver Music Manager; once your device is recognized, you will be able to manually manage files on your iRiver, including deleting any voice recordings on it.

The songs are probably in the wrong format. convert them all to Mp3 format, and try again.

I have iRiver MP3 ifp-895, i lost the driver, so i download it from internet, but unfortunately, i can install it to my computer. Can u show me the way to install it. Or can u send me another driver that is easy to install. Thank you very much.
