My lenovo G550 has a horizontal white line on the left side what is the fix it remedy

try ALT>+<CTRL>+<ARROW>­ three button at a time. the arrow you press, screen should go on that way. It works on most of the pc s. Should work on you too.

First, plug a external monitor and toggle the screen to discard configuration or software problems. If the image displays correctly you have a problem either in the LCD screen or its connection cable.
Open the bezel and check for loose or damaged connection cable. Look specially next to the hinge, ON THE LEFT.
In case the problem is not the cable you might have to get a new LCD. You can have replacement parts and instructions here:

fist go bios & give boot from cd RAM save it exit from there insert XP CD it will ask you press any key ,just pess it then it will start coping fails & drivers after that XP will install ok
