Use this Ip Tool,
Reset your printer.

First:Find the model on the tab, then reset the black and color, after that reset the platen and main, and finally reset the EEPROM.

Hope it works!!!

SOURCE: Canon i560 prints a black smudge pattern on left side of page

There must be some small piece of paper or paper dust buildup near the left side of the paper feed/press mechanism under the printheads.
Open the cover and inspect the far left area along the line of head travel - there often is a metal plate with small wheels that stabilize the paper, and under that plate look for some foreign objects. Try gently removing them with a toothpick - it is soft enough not to cause any damage, and also will soak in any ink residue that might be left there.

SOURCE: my canon ip1900 printer does not print even though

Your printer cartridges have likely dried up. You can try removing the print cartridges from the printer and pressing the print head (the bottom where ink comes out) into a moistened paper towel. This will hopefully rehydrate the dried ink in the print nozzle. Ink will likely transfer onto and through the paper towel, so please take precautions to not soil anything.

If this does not work you will likely need new printer cartridges. Refills can be used with decent success for the black but the machine will likely refuse a refilled color. Unfortunately this is how Canon has designed the machine. An original should be used in this instance.

Canon printer is printing with smudged text, how do I resolve it?

Most Canon printers have a clean print heads function. Search the menus until you find it. This is maintenance you should perform on your printer routinely. Once you do that and it still is smudged, remove the ink cartridges and clean the end of them carefully (you don't want ink to go everywhere). Look where the cartridge(s) connect to the print head. They may be dirty as well and need to be cleaned. Go to the following website and they go into specifics on how to clean your printer:

Canon PIXMA iP4200 not printing PGBK properly - only printing top 50% of PGBK grid on test page.

Man you did some awesome troubleshooting! I don't know, but it sounds like something is physically wrong with internal electronics. I'd call in the big dogs at Canon themselves.

I just changed the ink cartridges in my HP F4280 printer, and now documents are printing blurry, with horizontal alternating dark and light lines, as well as some smudging along the left margin. What can I...

Hi! You may want to try head cleaning to resolve the blurry prints. The smudge may be caused by a full waste ink pad. Try to replace the wastepad and it may resolve the problem. Hope this helps and have a good one!

While printing, every third line, it smudges with a line through the third line. Only every third line.I am using Canon Multipass 490

Align the print cartridge once more, from printer properties and print a test page. See if still that problem persist.
