SOURCE: Maytag dishwasher MDB9100A---tub refills after cycle completed

Problem is actually a water valve that is near the water inlet. Cost is about 35 bucks to fix unless you listen to the guy on here and pay for parts that you don't need and pay them 20bucks for bad advice. Our total cost to fix this $35 dollar problem was an entire wasted Sat, 2 trips to the appliance repair parts place, $130 for the electrical control board that the "wiz" here said I needed--electronic parts and non returnable so we now have a new one that we didn't need.

SOURCE: maytag mdb8600awq dishwasher drains good 20 seconds and stops

Dont know if you still have this problem, what I did was this - press the start button and keep going until you reach the number '2'. Leave it at '2' and in a couple of seconds it will start draining the rest of the water. Worked for me.

SOURCE: My Maytag dishwasher does not drain water after the wash cycle is over

Hi olabrk,
If you have a disposal make sure it is clear. You can put some icecubes in it to clean the blades and run some water through to make sure the drain is clear. If the dishwasher will still not pump out all the water check the drain line from the dishwasher to the sink drain for obstructions. If the drain is you will have to check the pump for obstructions. Sometimes glass, popcorn, toothpicks etc.... can get in the pump and prevent it from pumping out. If the pump is clear, then you will need a new pump. Good luck to you.

You have to remove the bottom kickplate to gain access to the drain pump and drain hose. You can remove the drain hose and blow through to see if the obstruction is in the hose. Take a look at the check valve for blockage. If a garbage disposal was just installed, make sure the knockout plug was removed.

Maytag gold dishwasher model GU2400XTP03 Ser# Fs0606107 Will NOT DRAIN

Hello

Do not open the dishwasher until the cycle completes. A green indicator light on the front of a Maytag dishwasher will let you know the cycle has completed. If you open the dishwasher before the cycle is over, close the door and press "Start/Resume."

Remove the knockout plug from the disposer inlet if the dishwasher is connected to a food disposer. Place the tip of a screwdriver along the edge of the knockout plug, which is on the side of the disposer. Tap against the head of the screwdriver with a hammer until the plug comes loose.

Inspect the drain hose for kinks. Make sure it is not bent or pinched in a way that would impede the flow of water through it.

Use your hands to clean food from the drain in the dishwasher. A buildup of food can block the drain and not allow water to freely flow from the inside of the dishwasher.

Open your breaker box and check to see that the switch that controls your kitchen appliances is flipped to the "on" position. A switch flipped to "off" means your appliance has no electricity. The dishwasher will not drain without power.

Maytag Model # MD87609AWB3 after rinse cycle it stops. I have to push button to finish drying cycle

Hi
This issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

My GE Model #5500 does not drain the water after a washing cycle.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

As the water did not drain completely then check the drain hose & drain pump filter for any clogs/obstructions, to do this you'll have to take the front bottom panel out and then clean it completely. If you have already cleaned these parts and the unit will not work then replacing the drain pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
