Need to wire pump to switch

I have only old skid loaders but when wiring a switch from wires being cut, just connect all the same color wires to each other. The wiring is color coded so it shouldn't be a problem there. As for the hydraulic system, don't run the engine with no hydraulic oil or you'll burn up the pump. It's happened to me and pump had to be replaced. Check the hydraulic oil for full.

The Safest cable to cut when installing an allarm or kill switch is the fuel pump because it doesn't hook directly to the computer like the ignition wires. It goes through a relay before going to the pump. You want to put your switch or alarm cut out relay on the wire coming from the fuel pump relay to the fuel pump.

If everything is functioning, it should be okay. The fuel pump relay derives it's ground connection for the relay coil through the switch- you should have 2 of them- 1 for the fuel pump and 1 for the gauge or dash warning light.

if one was cut off, it is likely that the cut wire has been spliced to the one wire that is connected. Sometimes the temporary priming initiated by the ECU at startup was connected there.

There is no fuel cut-off switch. If your fuel pump is not coming on.....does the check engine light come on, on the dash, when you turn on the ignition? If it does not then your ecu is in need of repair. If the check engine light does light up but the pump still does not come on then the pump or it's wiring is likely bad.

most jet pumps have a pressure switch to regulate cut in/ cut off pressure. Normally 40/60 psi. The pressure switch should be located at the rear of the pump where the wiring enters. First disconnect the power supply to the pump. Remove the cap where the wiring enters. On the inside of the cap there should be a diagram showing how to alter the cut in/ cut off pressure.

Researched wiring diagrams for the fuel system on the 1004 Tiburon (4 & 6 clylinder engines). There is no fuel cut-off switch/circuit. There is only the fuel pump relay that supplies power to the fuel pump.
