My deel audio produces voice amd musical pitch shifts. Voive reproduction is noticibly hihg pitched and guitar sound are two steps higher than they should be. It is painful to listen to the audio.

I recently purchased a new M-Audio Audiophile 192 sound card but I cannot get it to work, I don't hear anything coming from my speakers (M-Audio AV40s), which I know are working because I tested them...

This could be that the Onboard Sound Card is turn on in the Basic Input Output Settings, these control wich devices start and run when you computer is first turned on. Commonly known as the BIOS there very often is a setting in there for the sound to come from the onboard sound card or the one installed seperately. You must access this setting when you first sstart your computer, and switch it to disable onboard sound.

I have a sound blaster audigy 24 bit 7.1 sound card . it worked fine on windows xp but when i inserted the card in the slot for my new computer on windows 7 it says that no card was found :/ when i install...

Move the card to a different pci slot on the motherboard. It may have a conflict with another device. Make sure there is no power to the pc when you do this. If you still have the problem after trying all the slots then i suggest you empty all of them and just try the audio card on its own. If it works then fit the card/s you removed into other slots. good luck.

When installing a sound card in a computer that has onboard sound (Dell Dimension 2400) are there any cables that need to be connected to the new sound card? I have seen a sound card swapped out before,...

Only the cable to your speakers (external). However you should disable the on-board sound chip in the computer BIOS. Interrupt the PC bootup (F2 or Del, Whatever it says to enter "Setup", go to "on-board peripherals" and disable it there. Ian.

Where is the sound card located in a dell dimension 1100?

The sound is integrated onto the motherboard in this model, it isn't a separate card.

After installing driver, system still don`t see soundcar,i have sound but in control panel says no audio device

Does your computer have sound on the motherboard if it does you will have to go into the bios and disable the onboard sound before installing the add on sound card then windows will find it upon the next startup.

I cannot get any sound out of my speakers and I have installed a Dynex 5.1 sound card.

You probably need to make sure the new sound card is properly installed. Check device manager and make sure the new sound card does not have a yellow exclamation mark next to it.

If the card and driver are propery installed, then you can either disable the onboard audio from BIOS (enter this when the computer first boots up by pressing either F2 or delete several times)

Or
go to control panel, sound, and check the sound card as the default. Do this for .WAV and .MIDI and whatever else you see.

And that should take care of it.

NO Audio even after putting in own sound card

Difficult to diagnose from afar but go to Start>Run, then type 'dxdiag' without quotes and see if; when it does a sound and video test anything shows up.
