Make sure that you have the wireless switch/button in the "on" position. go to wireless networks and refresh to find the available networks. If this does not work, you might have a fried wireless card

Hi, This machine comes from HP with a built in wired ethernet card only not wireless... however it is known for some retailers to have the machines they sell specially configured with add-ons as desired... Best of Luck
Turn your wireless router off.
Wait 13 seconds.
Turn your wireless router on.
Try again to make a wireless connection.
Find a friend with an iPod Touch or iPhone or laptop,
and see if they can make a wireless connection to your router.
If not, your router is the problem (maybe, it needs to be configured?).
Take your laptop to someplace (public library or Starbucks) that offers "free wireless". Can you connect your laptop to that network? If so, your laptop's hardware is OK.
make sure that the wireless switch is on,try to press Fn F5 to enabled the wireless capability or is there any other short cout to enabled the wireless capability
